The apartment was centrally located, train station (Museum) 5min walk away. Major streets (liverpool, oxford, george) within walking distance. Supermarkets and takeaway places all few minutes away. A decent size apartment considering city location. Internet and aircon was handy, could do with a TV tho. Steve was great, excellent communication and really accommodating.
Recommend if you're looking for a crash pad while exploring Sydney city.
Great location. Easy to walk to darling harbour, Chinatown and main shopping districts as well as museums. Sydney opera house is about 30 mins walk or there is a free bus that goes up George Street. Very roomy and great space. Would def considering staying here again.
Also, Steve was very quick to respond and easy to communicate with.
- great localisation and good size.
- well equiped kitchen.
- very dirty, including bed, bathroom, kitchen equipement, carpets (we witnessed the cleaning process, during which only water was used. It resulted in me cleaning everything again, on my own)
- unpleasant host who made our stay finish early and move elsewhere
Thanks for your feedback. We asked Airbnb to talk to you and your husband regarding the unacceptable behaviors as guests. I believe Airbnb talked to you twice. We never asked you to leave the apartment but it was Airbnb's decision. Regarding cleaning, we had hired many cleaning companies and the current team is the best based on prior guests' feedback except for yours. We will keep hiring the current cleaners but also make sure the apartment is in best condition for guests.
Steve's appartmnet is really nice and very convenient to access to metro, shopping, food area, etc. with walkable distance. I was there on week in March during my long vaction. Steve is very well responded with email. I'll definitely come back and recommend to other for his appartment.
This spacious 1 bedroom apartment is just about perfectly located for someone who wants to experience both the downtown Sydney experience as well as the more local and unique parts of the city. Located right where the CBD, Darlinghurst, and Surry Hills meet, this apartment was a great choice!
The apartment is clean and well furnished. Check-in was easy, and the apartment was left for us in great condition!
As I mentioned before, the location is perfect! Lots of shops and restaurants just steps away, plus a seemingly infinite variety of places to visit, eat, or grab a coffee within walking distance. Several main bus lines stop near the apartment providing easy access to Circular Quay and outer locations such as Bondi. The St. James and Central train stations are also within walking distance and make getting to and from the airport a breeze!
Next time I visit Sydney I know where I'll be staying!
Steve has a great apartment. Great location, lots of space, all the appliances available. Great pool. The location is the real bonus. Easily walkable to the city, harbour and opera house. Loads of shops available around the quarter. Really good value for the price. Would definitely stay here again.
Steve was also a great host. Answered questions within the hour that I sent an email.
Steve's apartment is very well located, very clean and modern. It has 3 of the main features for travelers: silence at night, good shower and comfy bed. Only a very minor issue arose in my 6 days stay and it was promptly looker after by Steve. It was my first experience with airbnb and I am happy withi it.
We stayed in Sydney for a week. Steve's apartment was centrally located and very convenient with good supermarkets and eating places around, and within walking distance to the Museum rail station and Hyde Park.
Although Steve's wi-fi credits ran out halfway through our stay, he was prompt in responding and topping it up. We had no issues subsequently.
Kitchen cleanliness was not great but decent and it was well stocked.
Steve was a great host – after a cleaning mishap, he jumped on to solve the problem promptly. The place is in a nice location and is good if you are out and about all day and just need a place to sleep. Shopping, food, groceries etc are literally around the corner on the main street, though the street the apartment is on is nicely hidden away from it. There was some construction going on during our stay, and being on the first level - you could hear most of the street noise from that.
Pros: Great location. Short walk through the beautiful park to the CBD. You can walk to the harbour in about half an hour I'd say. Follow the park and you'll end up at the Botanical Gardens and see beautiful views of the Sydney Opera House and bridge.
Free Wi–Fi. Bring a laptop and research the area.
Cons: I think the apartment would be complete with a TV! That empty spot where the TV should be just needs to be filled just so guests can watch something in their down time.
Steve’s place is very central – walking distance to all the best of Sydney, adjacent to buses and food shops and cafes. Very convenient for airport (take the airport train to ‘Museum’ then a short walk). Definitely no car needed. The pool is a nice refresher, and the neighbours relatively quiet for such a big block. A deluxe choice for those minded to self-cater. Other pluses - No tv, free wifi, extra casual bed and bedding. Would stay again.
