The space
Rancho Chilamate offers accommodations like no other in Nicaragua. This solar-powered hacienda is just 20 minutes from San Juan del Sur but feels like a world away.

Escamequita is a great little community with a few pulperias, bars, restaurants, pickleball court, disc golf course, and amazing beaches.

We have ten rooms in total and four of us live here full time. We are happy and open minded, and life here is easy going with a good mix of work and play.

It’s exciting to begin opening up again for the first time since Corona!

Guests have use of the communal kitchen and can cook their own meals or join in family style meals with us. There’s lots of wildlife to hear and see, clear nights for moon and star gazing, and so many different day trips to take - which we’re happy to help you with!

We have great free wifi throughout the Ranch and in the rooms, and there are plenty of lounging areas in and around the hacienda and pool.

The three rooms we have available now all have large ensuites and AC. One with a queen bed, one with a king, and one with a double queen (bunk-bed style.)

Horses live here too .. and we offer beach rides, jungle rides, lots of different rides!.. Based on experience and availability.

We have quads for rent to get you back and forth to town or ask us about taking you on a tour to see something cool.

We also offer fishing trips or sunset booze cruises on our little boat, ‘Little Butt.”

If you’re here to surf we have a resident surf instructor or surf/ surf pal who knows all the best spots.

The rates listed here are just for your room. Additional activities are for an additional cost.
