Based 400 meters from the entrance to Launceston's most famous tourist feature - the Gorge via the Kings Bridge entrance, its beautiful scenery, bush walks and wild life, you will be overlook the heart of Tamar river. We offer a private room for two in our shared home.
There is the option for a third person to stay in a small adjacent room in the house on a king single bed. This would be suitable for families with children or parties of three including a couple.
We also list a second airy studio room separated from the house by 8 meters, which accommodates two people. That can be seen as a second listing - 'Launceston Studio Room - Close to all'.
The house is open plan upstairs with a well planned kitchen, dining room and balcony for your comfort. The bathroom is a shared bathroom two separate toilets.
Minutes away and within close walking distance are some of Launceston’s exciting restaurants, bistros and cafe's including 'Stillwater', The Waterfront, Penny Royal, and Seaport for you to explore and indulge. Beautiful gardens and Royal Park are a seven minute walk away along with Launceston's historic Art Gallery. Four klm away the Trevallyn Reserve features a hang gliding facility along with some aquatic facilies and beautiful bush walks. The famous Tamar Valley Wine route featuring some of Tasmania’s most famous vineyards commences 15 km from the house.
We are a retired couple still actively engaged in life long learning and gardening. While we have enjoyed traveling and great Airnb hospitality, our home is a happy place we look forward to sharing it with fellow travelers.

Rosa and Dave are quite nice and very happy to share things with us. The breakfast is good with lots of fruits.
Rosa and David were the loveliest of hosts. They were great with our three year old daughter! The house was beautiful, airy and green with a fantastic view! Would definitely stay again :)
This house is so lovely :) Rosa is a very kind and sweet host. She provided us everything we need and the room we stayed was so beautiful. Especially, the view from dining room is amazing!
Thank you Rosa & David for making us feel so welcome in your home & your hospitality. The breakfast was lovely. It was very helpful telling us where to eat & it was great to be able to walk into town & to explore the gorge. There were lovely views of the river from the balcony. We would stay with you again if we were luckily enough to get back to Lauceston.
Rosa and Dave's place has got a lot of characters and they are a really cool couple.
My husband and I stayed with Rosa and Dave for two nights. Not only that the view was amazing, the entire house was charming. It is in an excellent neighbourhood. We very much enjoyed the walk to the Cataract Gorge.
Breakfast was delightful with lots of fresh fruit, bread and jam, and plunger coffee. Rosa and Dave shared tips about great dining places.
We had a great time chatting with Rosa and Dave in the morning and evening.... whenever we caught up with them. They were very active and engaged in many activities. Their dog - Jessie - was cute and calm. The entire place emits positive vibes - happiness and lots of fun.
It is a wonderful journey to stay in Rosa and David's home, they are so friendly and warm-hearted (also the little dog Jessie), the view is so amazing, u can see the Tamar river from your window, and it is quite near the kings bridge and cataract gorge, u can walk there only about 5 mins.
A lovely welcome, bedroom had view of the river. The log fire with its aroma of eucalyptus was enchanting
