The room is small, and it would suit a single person. Ideal for the sporty type visiting the Lake District. With full use of the house, it is a perfect place to return to for some sleep and to cook some food. There is a shared kitchen, living room and bathroom. We have a friendly house, but it can be busy. Therefore. you may be required to change your own bedding, especially in April, May or June.

Intimate, rustic older home within easy walking distance of downtown and train. Bus service right across the street. The host is helpful and friendly. The sole toilet is upstairs, for those with stair climbing issues. Spartan accommodation but good value, my personal favourite.

Great spot - less than 5 minute walk to the train station. Shaun is a great guy. Easy to talk with and has some great movies if you just want to stay in.

Shaun was very easy to deal with. He was very responsive. I got exactly what I was expecting and would stay here again given the chance. Instructions for check-in were clear and the process was smooth. He laid out towels for me also. Thanks Shaun!
