If you're a laid back travel, and are looking to experience real Seattle living then this apartment is for you!
Please remember that you will be staying in a home, not a hotel. Therefore, we ask that you treat our space with the same respect you would show your own. We travel often and have help managing guest services for our home while we are away. The Pillow team will be available for assistance via email.
Our home has an electronic lock or lockbox located on or near the entrance. Before and during your stay, you will have access to our mobile-friendly House Manual that contains check-in instructions, access instructions, amenity details, FAQs, and a reporting tool for maintenance requests. The codes needed to enter the property are available 48 hours prior to check-in in our online house manual.
Other Things to Note
There will be a binder outlining check out procedures, internet connectivity and restaurants and markets in the area.
Please note that the cleaning fee only covers costs of washing linens and general cleaning supplies. Guests are still expected to wash the used dishes and leave the apartment in clean condition.
Parking is a bit tricky because I live in a very dense area of the city. There is free two-hour parking around the area that go between 7am-6pm (unrestricted after 6pm), and it can be easy or difficult depending on what day and time you arrive. Much of the parking can be found on Melrose, past Olive Way until Denny Street. I've also been told there is parking north of Thomas street. Parking enforcement does patrol the area so I would recommend moving the car every two hours during the restricted timeframe. Otherwise, there are pay parking sites nearby, that charge a daily rate of about $13. On Sundays, parking is free throughout Seattle.
Thank you in advance for respecting our house rules, they are very important to us. Please keep a reasonable volume so as to not disturb our neighbors, and do not invite other guests or have parties. We would appreciate it if you wash any dishes you use during your stay, and please note that pets and smoking are not allowed on the property. Try to leave the house in the same condition you found it as when you first arrived. You will be staying at a Pillow Homes approved property and guests are required to follow the Pillow rules and terms.
The room was clean, convenient, and close to everything. Plus, there is a late night walk-up window where you can get pie right around the corner. How great is that?
We enjoyed our stay at Nick's apartment. It was exactly as described, in a great location, and very clean. We appreciated that access was super easy, thanks to clear lockbox instructions. Communication was especially outstanding. Thanks for a great experience!
The basic description of the apartment was as listed. The only discrepancy being that the owner listed it as his home. Just a small thing, but this is clearly an apartment furnished for AirBnB. Not a problem, just stating a fact. I missed that the Pillow management co. was actually renting the place for the owner and that was my only problem with the apartment. Otherwise, it is a good price in a convenient neighborhood. Caveat: do not bring a car.
Given the options on the listing description, "Home" was the best fitted category. It pretty much means they have the entire space to themselves. It's true that the apartment is used exclusively for AirBnB, but I actually use to live in that apartment myself. I guess I just own cheap furniture ;-). In any case, I try to be as transparent as possible. What comes with the apartment is shown in the pictures.
BEST LOCATION! This apartment, may not look like a lot from the outside, but honestly it was a great stay for us. The Pillow Team was extremely attentive - although I never met them - they were still made us feel very welcome & left us very clear instructions on how to access the lock box for the apartment. It was just my husband and I who stayed, but the space definitely could accommodate another 1-2 people (as the couch pulled out). Everything was very clean and cozy - also they had a Roku & instructions on how to use it, which was a nice touch! Honestly, the best part about this apartment is the location - you truly are in the heart of Seattle in Capitol Hill with tons of bars & restaurants nearby - only a 15-20 minute walk to Pike's Place as well!
Nick's place is fantastic and really easy to get in and out of. Highly recommended for great neighborhood and well prepared hosts.
Nick was a great host! All of my last minute questions were answered quickly. He allowed us to check in early. His place is nothing swanky, but it was clean and in a cool part of town. easy to get to from the light rail. We definitely got a lot of exercise hiking up and down all the hills. We'd stay there again.
Logement tout à fait convenable compte tenu du prix, facile d'accès et dans un quartier tout à fait plaisant. Les principales attractions de Seattle ne sont pas très éloignées même à pied....
Excellent séjour, merci!

About the Host, Nick
As an avid traveler, I have always felt the people along the way have been just as important as the place I visited. I traveled alone in Latin America for about two years, and spent a good part of that time working in multiple hostels. I always enjoyed learning about my guests, providing good accommodations, and showing them the best parts of a city.
The apartments are located in a 36-unit apartment in the heart of Seattle, and I have completely furnished an apartment for the purpose of providing affordable housing for visitors. Right now, I'm currently out of town, but my friend and business associate Nicole is handling all reservations and has proven to be responsive and responsible for all guests who have stayed thus far.
We provide simple but comfortable accommodations, and realize that this location is suited best depending on your travel plans and the type of things you are looking for during your stay. It does help, however, to be as detailed as you can in your request so we can best meet your needs. We try our very best to provide a pleasant stay, so please rest assured that we will do the most we can to resolve any issues during your stay. I hope we get the chance to show you the best parts of Seattle!
