Built in the mid-century for the 1960 World's Fair, this apartment provides an authentic Seattle experience at an affordable price!
This is private apartment. You will have the entire space to yourself and your guest(s).
There is a full kitchen, full bath, and laundry facilities available on-site (detergent provided). There is a comfortable queen size mattress fitted for two people. The apartment is probably better suited for only two people, but there is a couch in the living room should another person choose to stay. I do not charge for additional guests.
I provide towels and clean sheets.There is a kitchen stocked with dishes and pans for any guests that wish to cook during their stay. Basic cooking oils and condiments are available. A small selection of tea and coffee is also provided for guest use, free of charge.
There is also a television with a Roku box that has Netflix, Pandora and a variety of other streaming channels.
Interaction with Guests
Check-in and check-out is done through a lock-box, instructions are privately messaged 48-72 hours before check in. There is someone that lives on the property to attend to guest needs, so there will be someone available for questions or concerns you may have during your stay.
*EARLY CHECK-IN REQUEST: Early check-ins are difficult to arrange as we use a cleaning services. I can only request an early cleaning. We do have a storage unit on site and I can notify guests when the cleaners have finished, but I am unable to confirm an early check-in.
The apartment is located at the end of Seattle's vibrant Capitol Hill, which makes it at 5-10min walk to Broadway (Capitol Hill's main street) and a 5-10min walk to Downtown. We are located walking distance to the Convention Center and is an ideal place for anyone attending a conference.
Supermarkets, restaurants, gyms, yoga studios, coffee shops and lounges are all located nearby. Capitol Hill is known as one of the more interesting neighborhoods of Seattle and has plenty of character! You're sure to find something interesting just walking around the block.
We are located within walking distance to all major bus lines, including the Convention Center Tunnel Station, which takes you anywhere inside and outside of Seattle. Pike Place Market is about a 10min walk downtown and I have tour maps and traveler guides available to help you enjoy your visit!

Parking is a bit tricky because I live in a very dense area of the city. There is free two-hour parking around the area that go between 7am-6pm (unrestricted after 6pm), and it can be easy or difficult depending on what day and time you arrive. Much of the parking can be found on Melrose, past Olive Way until Denny Street. I've also been told there is parking north of Thomas street. Parking enforcement does patrol the area so I would recommend moving the car every two hours during the restricted timeframe. Otherwise, there are pay parking sites nearby, that charge a daily rate of about $13. On Sundays, parking is free throughout Seattle.

NOTE ABOUT 3 GUEST STAYS
There are two sleeping areas in the apartment: 1 queen sized mattress, and a comfortable pull out sofa that is the equivalent to a full size mattress. I've been told in the past by other guests that it is a bit cramped for 3 people. Other guests found the space to be enough. The square footage is 440, so please take that into consideration if booking for 3 people. I do not charge for an extra guest.
There is no elevator in the building and this unit is located on the 3rd floor. Guests with disabilities or trouble climbing stairs should take this into consideration.
There are not any pets inside the room, nor have there been any pets since the place opened, but some other tenants in the building do have cats. The animals are typically confined to their own units, but it is something to note.
This location is fitted for travelers who are a laid back and would like to experience what it is like to actually live in Seattle. If that sounds like you, please do not hesitate to book!
Prices reflect a 9.5% sales tax for WA state. In the event where a refund is issued, both AirBnB charges and 9.5% sales tax will NOT be included in the refund.
We have just hired professional cleaners to turn our units and are here to address the concerns we've heard from past guests. The cleaning fee goes entirely to the service to ensure guests have a clean room ready for them when they arrive. And always, please let us know how we're doing!
Please take off shoes upon entering. While we encourage the use of kitchen and dining area for guests, we discourage large social gatherings or activities involving a lot of noise. Leave the hair catcher in the tub. It prevents the pipes from being clogged.
Please note that the cleaning fee only covers costs of washing linens and general cleaning supplies. Guests are still expected to wash the used dishes and leave the apartment in clean condition.

This was my second time staying at Nick's place and it was just as good as the first. Simple, clean space walking distance to everything I needed.
Nick's apartment is a simple and clean space. It is exactly as described. It is walking distance (10-15mins) to the centre of town. One bed and one pull out sofa was enough for three people. We had a good stay. The check in procedure was easy and stress-free.
The description of the place was very accurate It was clean and close to any amenities that I needed. I will be staying there again
Overall, our stay was pleasant. I really appreciated the fast communication from Nicole and the friendly staff we came across. There were a few hiccups along the way but they were corrected. Would have loved to have someone on site to speak to personally, but I loved the location and the price was great.
The place was affordable and in a good location.
Advertised as two beds but one was a pull out sofa. Realllly worn in. And the sheets did not fit. That was a bigger issue because the mattress pad had rust.

Nick's apartment is in a great location. It was an easy walk to Pike's Market and other tourist attractions. The apartment was clean. The sofa bed needs to be repaired or replaced. A few of the springs are missing. Nick doesn't charge for a third guest, so this might be a case of getting what you pay for. The shower works, but the water comes out in a single flow like a garden hose. These were small inconveniences for a nice place to stay in a great location.

The apartments are located in a 36-unit apartment in the heart of Seattle, and I have completely furnished an apartment for the purpose of providing affordable housing for visitors.
