My sister and I booked Cheryl Cooper's room for two nights while staying in Brussels to celebrate our birthday. Cheryl is absolutely the most wonderful host you could ask for. It will be hard being so satisfied with any other airbnb after staying with her. She sets the bar high! Thanks to her our birthday and experience in Brussels was that much better.
Cheryl is a great woman and we very much enjoyed staying with her. She's a pleasure in conversation and a perfect hostess!
The room is big and spacious. It's a little cold at night in the middle of winter, but that was not a problem as Cheryl provided an electric heater to complement us.
Good breakfast with great coffee, just a pleasure all around!
Excellent visit. The bedroom is spacious, and collects light through a large window. There's a large, solid table for use as a desk, with fast WiFi. The bed is also large, and comfortable. Cheryl made me feel at home, and was up for a chat on any number of subjects, whether it be about travel, Brussels, or the Human Condition. I was grateful for the Continental breakfast, with items chosen with a discriminating eye and experienced nose.
It's a very pleasant apartment that is directly inside a little center / shopping district. The bus is only a minute walk away... so you can be in the Centrum in short order. I recommend the location and the host.
Cheryl was a delightful informative hostess who treated us with warmth and enthusiasm.
Wish we had met her at the beginning of our Brussel's stay as she
would have shared some missed highlights with us.
Andy and I highly recommend her bright and spacious place to others.
The apartment is about 25 minutes on the 95 bus from town. The room was clean and spacious. Nice small group of shops including supermarket nearby. Cheryl was a great host and provided travel info. Hard to fault.
I have to begin by saying that Cheryl is an incredibly delightful person. She was such a marvelous host, and treated us more like special guests than temporary tenants.
We stayed only one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. the guest room in the apartment is quite spacious (and super clean), with a large King bed, desk and closets. We were allowed to use the kitchen as well.
Though the apartment is not right by the downtown of Brussels its easily accessible by bus (line 95). we took this same line from Central station to arrive at the apartment which is across the street from the stop. Outside the apartment are plenty of restaurants, a super market and other small shops.
We also enjoyed a grant breakfast Cheryl prepared us in the morning, and of course the conversations we had with Cheryl were wonderful as well! Overall, we had a great experience.
A happy middle-aged Englishwoman who loves writing, travel, photography, art and design, nature and spending part of the year as a digital nomad..
I love visiting new places, meeting new people (and recommending the delights of my home town), learning new languages.
I prefer home comfort and meeting locals to staying in some anonymous corporate hotel !
I speak English and French.
