About this listing
Wakapunku Boutique re-opened in January 2013 after going through a complete renovation and refurbishment, this small and cozy hotel features 6 unique rooms among matrimonial rooms, balcony suites and loft rooms. It is located in downtown Cusco, just a short walk away from the city main atracctions, 2 blocks away from the Main Square, 1 block away from San Blas Artisans Neighbourhood and sorrounded by restaurants, craftshops, bars and museums.
Wakapunku is clearly an outstanding price/place deal in Cusco: a cozy, clean and modern place at the heart of downtown, steps away from the main square. A highly recommended hotel for those visiting the Imperial City for the first time or for those looking for visiting again, and again.
Very accommodating and in an extremely convenient location. The room was incredibly clean with new amenities. The price is a bit steep, but if you want comfortability, you will certainly get that.
Our stay at the Wakapunku Boutique Suites was a wonderful experience. The staff were exceptional giving us their undivided attention, a big difference from larger hotel chains. The hotel is was within 8 minutes walking distance to Plaza de armas and on the way you have access to many vendors and the Inca stones. There was a very nice breakfast served everyday as well as an inexpensive same day laundry service...very happy with that. A lovely cafe is situated beside the hotel which served fabulous meals, as well as a market across the road. Juan was lovely to deal with and surprised us with a gift on leaving. Nice touch. We will definitely be returning.
Great hostel, super location and modern Rooms.
Even at 5 in the morning we were welcome to stay in the hostel waiting for our Room.
They really took care of us!
Would really recommand this!
I would recommend Wakapunku to anyone. We stayed for 5 nights before and 2 nights following our Inka Trail trek. We stayed in rooms 4 & 3 respectively. The rooms were a very good size; 4 being the largest in the hotel I believe. We loved the decor and the rooms were very clean. Lots of power outlets, all taking the standard US style plug. Both rooms faced the street. That means lots of sounds and smells at all hours of the day and night, Cusco is a busy city so this should come as no surprise. The location is superb, walking distance to many sights, shops, and eating/drinking establishments. We received a reduced rate due to the length of our stay. Wakapunku is an exceptional value as the price was very fair. We did have some issues with our room (a slow shower drain), which were quickly resolved. Everyone at the hotel is very nice and while not everyone is fluent in English, this is Peru. Come with some Spanish. Overall our experience was excellent.
