HISTORY OF THE BUILDING
The building was original constructed/designed by brewer Jacobsen who was the founder of Carlsberg Breweries. He designed the apartment with traditional stucco and with very high ceilings, meaning that the apartment is very bright. Due to these reasons the building is preserved by the government but off caused modernized numerous times.
If you are considering renting a car, I can inform you that there are great parking possibilities which is rare in Copenhagen.
No parties or loud music allowed. Normal courtesy appreciated
If you do smoke - the deposit will not be refunded!
Mikkel's place is WONDERFUL! He was very responsive and made the experience so easy. The apartment was even more beautiful in person than in the pictures, which I did not think was possible. The apartment is clean and filled with natural light though it also feels very cozy and like a "home". They did a great job with the art work and design and it is quite spacious! (And I liked the design of the funky old elevator). The apartment location is incredibly convenient - I found my favorite spot at Salon 39 and breakfast at Granola - both within walking distance. The Forum metro is also only a few minutes walk away and is very convenient when coming in from the airport with luggage. I am already missing my stay and would HIGHLY recommend this beautiful apartment to maximize the enjoyment of your stay in Copenhagen. I hope to return. Enjoy!
We were welcomed to the apartment by a friend of the host and it was fast and pleasant.
The description was exactly as mentioned in the ad.
The neighborhood is excellent and very quite.
We had a fantastic stay at Mikkel's flat. It is a super-stylish, airy and bright flat. It looks just as good as it does in the pictures and had everything we needed for our stay. Everything was modern and up to date and in good working order. The kitchen is well-stocked, with pretty much the best set of knives I've ever encountered in a rental property. Not that we really did much cooking, other than slicing lots of yummy Danish bread. The neighborhood was very nice, pretty upscale, and the apartment is very close to the metro stop. There were many eateries nearby. We especially liked Kitchenette for brunch and had coffee from Emmerys every day, though those are found throughout CPH. Tivoli Gardens is 10-15 minute's walk, and the lakes are nearby - perfect for a stroll or a run.
Mikkel was a gracious and responsive host, from the first time I contacted him, he was very quick to respond. He gave us good tips for where to eat and what to do in town. The whole experience was very straightforward and exceeded our expectations, making for a terrific vacation. I highly recommend this property.
Mikkel was a perfect host from the very beginning. He waited for us and explained personally everything not only about the apartment, but also about the city (restaurants, shops, museums etc.). Moreover, he made himself available for any question or doubt during our staying.
We found the apartment clean and provided with all the essentials. It's just like we had seen it on the site, and even better. The whole space it's welcoming and warm, spacious and with a wonderful light. Moreover, it's totally child-friendly, my brother---who's 10--- was totally comfortable and free to move.
Finally, the neighborhood is really quiet. The position close to Forum metro station makes this apartment close to everywhere in the city, at any hour.
We strongly recommend this apartment! The next time we come to Copenhagen, we'll certainly contact Mikkel again.
The apartment was amazing and exactly as it appears in the photos. Mikkel was out of town for our visit but one of his friends met us as planned and showed us around the apartment. Everything worked well and was just perfect. The location is great in a quiet and upmarket residential area but within easy walking distance of the city centre. Restaurants and supermarkets are in the area too. The apartment is 10 minutes walk from a metro station which is on the airport line. I'd highly recommend this property
The reservation was canceled 39 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Mikkel was very helpful right from agreeing to the let. He was on vacation so some friends were there to meet us. They too were very welcoming and helpful to this great apartment. This apartment has all we needed, it is stylish as well as practical. Mikkel has done a great job of interior design in that simple elegant Danish style. It almost goes without saying it was clean and very tidy. It is on 3/4th(?) floor and there is a small elevator to take you there as well as stairs for keeping you fit. It is close to the Metro so it was a direct journey from the airport to the nearby station: Forum. It is close to the city yet in a quiet district with beautiful walks along the inner city lakes. The location of the flat means you can walk easily to the city or take the metro and change on to trains and buses. We walked a lot and appreciated the location very much. I am Gluten intolerant so we mostly eat in and there are plenty of supermarket nearby. The Irma supermarket chain has a City style store as well as a larger full supermarket nearby and they have a quite a range of Gluten Free products. The flat has a good kitchen for cooking and a small table for eating breakfast. There is a larger dining room table as well in the living-dining room area, (open plan). Off the dining room there is a small balcony with two chairs and a table. The living room has a big television and cable TV. We noticed that US and British tv show and films (and there seemed quite a lot) are subtitled in Danish and can be enjoyed in their original language version. The bedroom is on the rear of the building and has a large comfortable double bed. The flat has large spacious rooms and lives up to its description on the web site. We spent just under a week at Mikkel's apartment and really enjoyed ourselves and feel we had real value for our money when you compare all this to one room in an average hotel in Copenhagen. No contest, the apartment wins easy. Thank you Mikkel.
