About This Listing
My quirky and cosy double bedroom flat in the Porthall area of Brighton is located on a quiet street with views at the front of the building overlooking Brighton. Enjoy easy access to central Brighton, the sea, and the buzzy 7-Dials area.
Lovely - and very quiet - double-bedroom flat 20 minutes walk from Brighton Station, 10 mins to the buzzy Seven Dials area & just 5 mins from Preston Park. A perfect base from which to explore Brighton.

(Also has off-road parking)
Incredibly comfy bed; and I'll provide you with fresh linen and pillows.
I'll provide towels. Do also feel free to use the bathroom stuff (shampoo etc).
The Living room
has a flat screen t.v. and wireless internet. There is also a single roll-out futon mattress (not the most comfortable thing in the world, but there if you wanted to put one other person up).
has a gas stove and self-cleaning (!) oven. Feel free to use the washing machine also.
There's a great pub round the corner for Sunday roasts, with real fires in the winter. Five minutes down the road, along Lover's Walk, is Preston Park - a great place for brunch or just a cup of tea at the Rotunda cafe, overlooking the rose garden. Public tennis courts here too.
The walk into Brighton (about 15 mins) takes you through the Seven Dials area - lots of trendy cafes and places to eat.
In the other direction are the South Downs. During the summer, the No. 77 bus (2 minutes away) will take you up there - it's a very regular service on an open-topped bus. I recommend the walk to the Shepherd & Dog pub.
The whole flat.
Interaction with Guests
I'll meet you on the day and show you round. And that's the last you'll see of me! (But if you need me, you just need to text or call).
The regular no. 27 bus stop is just round the corner, and will drop you in to town in ten minutes, if you don't fancy the walk.
The only rule is to enjoy yourself*
*and to please try to leave the flat as you found it.
Michaela was very prompt and easy to communicate with in booking this flat. When we arrived, it felt very much like a home, and we were welcomed as such. It's as its shown in the photographs: comfortable, homely, easy to get to and from and a nice place to stay in Brighton!
Michaela's flat was exactly as pictured & described, quirky and cute! Unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to meet Michaela, but she was very communicative & quick to respond. Our only complaint was the shower door is broken and makes showering a little awkward. Overall, we had a lovely stay in Brighton, thanks Michaela!
Michaela was very accommodating with arrival time, and had left a very welcoming and helpful letter explaining how to operate things. The key collection worked perfectly. Being able to park off the road was a real plus point, (although we weren't absolutely sure whether we were in the right place at first - nobody complained so it must have been okay!) The flat was just the right size for two, quirky and interesting but with a good, hot, non-quirky shower in the bathroom and a tiny but modern kitchen where everything worked. Lovely toaster and kettle! The area is quiet and leafy. We did walk down to the seafront the first day, it took us about 25 minutes, but it was very cold, wet, and windy so it wasn't a pleasant experience - on a warm, sunny day where you are planning to spend several hours in town then I'm sure it would be a lovely stroll. We found the cheapest and most central place to park was the Churchill centre at £6.50 for 4 hours, which was a very short walk to the Lanes. We had a very pleasant 3 nights, Michaela was quick to respond to messages and we had no problems at all. Be prepared for the lift - I only attempted it once, on arrival with heavy cases (my daughter refused to get in!), but it was much quicker to use the very short flight of stairs anyway; not a problem unless you have mobility issues. An ideal place for a long weekend in Brighton, particularly if you need your car!
We had a very brief overnight stay in Michaela's flat but it was a lovely place to stay. Very nice and cosy and Michaela made the process very smooth and easy and was very generous in her attitude. Very comfy bed and many thanks for the complimentary wine!
Great communication from Michaela meaning I got into the flat after my conference finished for the day rather than before.
Nice little flat with the basics. (No microwave in case thats your version of cooking! ) 20min downhill walk to the seafront through nice areas. I felt happy walking back late in the evening on my own.
You can hear the trains but its not intrusive at all.
Useful to have a parking space as Brighton parking is crazy!
Michaela's flat was beautiful. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a home away from home. Though only there for one night, the two of us were so happy with the cool and quirky interior, soft furnishings, character and warmth. Michaela was so easily contactable whenever we needed her. Thank you!
