We loved Michaela’s quirky flat, great artwork and poetry – we felt that we knew her and were visiting a friend! Unfortunately, we didn’t get to meet her but communication was easy and prompt. The flat has everything that you could possibly need, very clean and comfortable. It’s located up the hill which affords you a nice view of the city. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood but close to the park, pubs and shops. We would definitely return the next time we’re in Brighton.

Michaela was a great host, we had a nice stay and the area is very convenient for reaching Preston Park.

A lovely, well organised flat in a great location in Brighton. Minutes walk away from shops and cafes and close enough to the buzz of Brighton without being in it (which is good when you've got a 3 month old!) very clean and tidy and Michaela was great, very easy to communicate with and friendly

We spent a whole month at Michaela's lovely flat. She met us and gave us a tour of her home, and we even ended up going out for drinks with her during our stay. She is a really warm and friendly person, and her flat is just as welcoming; it is also very well stocked with useful kitchen gadgets, plus board games, books and TV with Netflix. Location is great: the area is very quiet and safe, just 5 mins walk to Preston Park and 20mins to Brighton station. Thoroughly enjoyed our month, and we'd definitely stay there again.

Perfect for a weekend getaway, close walking distance to beach and great communication with host, if we had any questions she would respond quickly and is very friendly. No complaints.

Loved Michaela's qwerty little flat, from the moment we arrived we felt like we were home. The location was perfect for what we needed, there's a number of pubs and shops within walking distance. Was a real bonus having a parking spot that we didn't have to pay for. Great communication from Michaela before we arrived and during the stay. Would definitely recommend this place.

Michaela's place, although a little out of the way, is a perfect place to stay for a weekend visit. It is very cosy and comfortable (probably one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in). I would happily recommend staying in this beautiful flat to anyone wanting to get your monies worth from a stay in Brighton.

I moved back to Brighton in 2001 after working as a journalist in Venezuela in the 90s. I'm a painter (you'll find examples of my work in the flat) and I host the monthly Pighog night, a hub for poetry in Brighton.
