The space

You will be sharing this large one hundred m2 beautiful 3-room flat with my cat. It's located in the vibrant neighborhood of Neukölln, close to Hermannplatz, on the border to Kreuzberg.

You've got funky Berlin-bars and cafés just across the street and around the corner. And small design boutiques and coffee places are only a few minutes walk away. You'll also have plenty of supermarkets, and department stores in walking distance (5-10 minutes). You'll get to Stadtbad Neukölln, an indoor swimming pool and sauna, by foot in less than 10 minutes. The public bath was considered one of Europe’s most beautiful baths when it was built in 1914, and is definitely worth a visit (usually open from early morning to 22:00 in the evening).

Well connected to the rest of the city by U-bahn and bus (Alexanderplatz in 15 minutes, Potsdamer Platz in 25 minutes, Schönefeld Airport and Tegel Airport in about 40 minutes).

Wi-Fi is available. Kitchen is equipped with high quality pots and pans. Washing machine is also at hand.

The bedroom has a king size double bed. (180x200cm).

I do not charge any cleaning fee, so I expect guests to leave the flat in the same condition as it was when they arrived.

NB: Please note that you will be sharing the flat with an indoor cat, in case you have any allergies this might not be the place for you. He is a lovely guy, and easy to get along with.

I had an incredible time staying in Thomas' flat. It was perfect. Everything you could possible want from an airbnb flat. There were all the amenities needed for a perfect stay, short or long. The shower is excellent, the kitchen with all equipment to cook dinner, a super comfortable living room and dining room with balcony facing the street. The bed is also the best bed I've slept in while travelling, and as fussy sleeper, this says a lot! Spike the cat is an absolute pleasure to spend time with to, as he loves a pat and to have a snooze on your lap if you sit down for long enough. Can not recommend this apartment enough if you're heading to Berlin!

Thomas lives in a great apartment centrally located in Neukölln. He has a very charming and social cat which will welcome you home and demand you to turn on the tap in the bathroom tub. Remember to make the water cold and not to powerful, or he will look indignantly at you until you do it correctly. Spike is marvellous as so many others have written before me. He made our x-mas stay in Berlin extra special and the apartment gave us room to feel at home. Thomas is attentive as a host and easy to get in contact with. One thing to keep in mind, the traffic from the street in the bedroom can be pretty loud even at night, so if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs, just to be safe:-)

I have nothing but good things to say about our time in Thomas' apartment! It is a really nice apartment, spacious, light and very nicely decorated. In an awesome neighborhood, full of little shops and cafes. Our roommate was a sweet and funny cat, Spike. We received a warm welcome by Thomas and Jose. Thomas was also very easy in the contact and send us a document with tips of the neighborhood before we arrived. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this apartment!

This was the first time I had used Airbnb and I was very impressed. Thomas provided excellent communication throughout, and the local knowledge was invaluable. We loved the flat, the bed was huge and super comfy and we were joined by the lovely Spike. The area is very diverse and vibrant and great for transport links. There's a great tapas bar on Weserstrabe called Edensamstag, just up from A bar. If you like croissants we found a lovely French cafe called Two and two, just past BBI. The best place we found for breakfast / lunch was Papilles on Flughafenstrasse, opposite a great vintage store. The eggs benedict are amazing. There is also an open air bar on the top of the Neukolln shopping arcade on Karl Marx Strabe, 66. Take the lift to the 5th floor. It's a great place to watch the sunset, but you need to get there early as it's very popular. All in all we had the most fantastic 4 days and would not hesitate to recommend Thomas' flat and to use Airbnb again, thanks Thomas & Spike!
