  • Caroline is een prettige gastvrouw. Ik kan het iedereen aanraden. Zeker de ligging ten opzichte van Amsterdam is fijn. Ik kom zeker nog eens terug ....

  • Caroline and her house were perfect for my stay. She was kind and helpful, and gave me plenty of space to do my thing. Woke each morning to an amazing breakfast, with traditional foods and advice about the area. It's close to a very convenient train station, and almere is clean, modern, and lovely. I highly recommend this experience!

  • Caroline runs a top-notch B&B. It is clean and modern and amazing!! Seriously, if you are looking at several places to stay, I'll make it easy for you: this is the one! Her home is welcoming with fresh flowers, soft linens and great service! I need a gluten free diet, and Caroline purchased special gluten free foods for me! She goes out of her way to welcome you. The bedrooms are well-appointed and the mattress is perfect! I wish every B&B could be like this!

  • Although my duration with B&B Mermaid was short it was very nice. In a quiet neighborhood only 10 minutes by foot to the Central Train station. I was provided with everything I needed to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Caroline was a delightful host and my stay with her was very calm, joyful and pleasant. I highly recommend to The Mermaid to anyone. Thanks Caroline for an enjoyable stay!!

  • Caroline is a host I'll always be happy and eager to tell others about. It's because she absolutely love what she does, and what she loves she does so well.

She's really warm and received us personally at Almere train station and then set our stuff down and gave us a walkover of Amsterdam. The bedroom was cosy, clean, and comfortable. Perfect.

I even joked that it felt a little too much like a hotel room ;-)

Caroline's peaceful home was a welcome from the madness of Amsterdam central so if quiet is what you're looking for then this is it. It's a 20minute train and then a 15 minute brisk walk from the station. We slept like babies and woke up to a huge feast each morning - my first at airbnb. She prepared fresh bread, good selection of spreads, and we ended each meal with chocolates. I left in the wee hours of morning, and she even left me a breakfast pack with fruits to take along. Big smiles as I ate heartily on the bus back to Paris.

Would go back again in a heartbeat. Thank you for sharing your home, Caroline..

  • I stayed at Mermaid B&B for only 3 nights but they were 3 great nights. The b&b is located in a quiet area that has a lot to do and see. Caroline was a delightful host who is happy to have a chat and help in any way she can. I will be coming back again sometime soon. The room was very well equipped with everything you could need and included some snacks and drinks and a kettle. The bed and pillows were super comfy. Thanks again Caroline for a lovely stay.

  • Excellent Accomodation, easy to get to from the airport and was good of Caroline to meet me at Almere Station. Good options for breakfast and Caroline gave plenty of advice & options of what to do & where to go, plenty of leaflets/ brochures of places of interest. Caroline has 2 cats who are adorable.
I would highly recommend her place.

  • Very clean, well maintained and beautifully decorated home with two very lovely cats. Caroline is very kind and helpful at all times, she has given me a lot of information on surrounding areas and that has saved me a lot of time for my short stay. On arrival, Caroline picked me up at the station and we shared a glass of wine and meal together in her beautiful garden. She has also treated me to some snacks and drinks when I return knowing that I like to try local food! Definitely would recommend her place if you are exploring this area.

  • Caroline's House was first of all very clean, lovely decorated and in a very nice place: not too far from Amsterdam and so close to the beach! Caroline is a friendly person, helped my little family a lot and we want to wish her just best luck and good time in Turkey!

  • We spent 4 unforgettable & beautiful days at Caroline's lovely house.
She is very warmhearted, helpful & careful. She knows everything about Amsterdam, Almere & surroundings. She gave us lots of maps, brochures, books, so in this way we could easily find everything. We could try her scooter for a short ride which was a unique adventure for us. :)
The room and the bathroom was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was so fine, Caroline was waiting for us with little sweet surprises every morning.
Her cats were very friendly & playful.
The garden has an intimate atmosphere. Her house situates in a peaceful & calm place which absolutely perfect for a great relaxation.
We wish we could spent more time there.
We are sure we will return to this little paradise!
