We stayed here one night, as we had to catch the ferry early the next morning. It is very close to the ferry dock, less than 5 minutes by taxi. Rita's mother stays in the house, she is very nice. She made us a very nice lunch and dessert when we arrived. She took us for a walk at night and to a wonderful local restaurant for the best Greek food! Luckily one of us spoke french so we were able to have very nice conversations. Rita always replied to my emails promptly, the directions to the house were perfect and Rita's mom was waiting for us when we arrived. There was lots of room for 5 us and we had the upstairs to ourselves. I recommend this place if you need to be near the ferry dock and want a real home-like experience!
A simple home with great hospitality.
A drive to the water offers some great places to eat! No wifi.
The house is 250sqm but it is not a entire home as marked on the Airbnb listing. It is more like having 2 rooms that are a part of a bigger appartment which is a shared space. My communication on the appartment were with Rita - however the person who stays there could be Rita's mom and her son. If you are hoping(like us) that it is walking distance to the metro or the port where you take the ferry to the islands - it is not the case. However we were dropped by car to both metro and port for ferry. We were also served some greek sweet dishes and coffee. We did not receive any key to enter or exit and hence were dependant on the host.
We had a wonderful time in Athens. Rita and her family could not have been more helpful! In fact I'm returning to see them again soon! If you want a comfortable local experience- this is the place! Cheers!
