The space
Our home in Point Venture near Lago Vista is ideal for a Hill Country family or friends getaway on Lake Travis. A Spacious and welcoming 2-story with lake view balcony. Just around the corner from the gated POA park which offers boat ramp and play structures for guests. You have use of all property owner amenities like pool and sport courts. We offer use of our garage for one vehicle, the gas grill, pool towels and floats, lake floats and life jackets, beach chairs and beach blankets (no sun shade), disc golf set and basic tennis rackets.
We manage our home personally and inspect it prior to guests’ arrival to ensure everything is in order. The house was designed with an open kitchen/living room while providing a large private primary bedroom and en suite bathroom with separate large shower and soaking tub. There is also the convenience of a half bath and laundry room downstairs. Upstairs are two bedrooms, a lake facing balcony, game closet and a full, spacious bathroom.
Guests are provided with “starter” amounts of consumables (toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing pods and laundry detergent). Guests are expected to manage any additional needs of these items when staying over 5 days.
Our large, open kitchen includes cooking and baking supplies galore: Electric kettle, Rice Maker, Cuisinart Ice Cream maker; Cuisinart Slow Cooker; Air Fryer, Waffle Makers, Nespresso, Keurig pods and carafe style coffee makers, propane gas grill. Pantry items like salt and pepper, spices, sweeteners, coffee/filters, oils, etc.
We have a delightful collection of family games, dominos, puzzles, crochet yarns, a Karaoke machine, a Sony Bluetooth speaker and reading books to enhance your vacation experience.
Our spacious living room offers a Smart 55-inch TV. The primary bedroom has a Samsung 50” smart TV. Upstairs the queen bedroom has a Roku TV; the twin bedroom does not have a TV. Please note that WiFi in Hill Country can be affected by storms and high winds.
Please be aware that there is no street / curb parking in Point Venture. Extra parking available at the POA lot.
We are an easy walk to the 50-acre gated lake front park with access to the POA boat ramp. The park also has a Disc golf course, a playground, basketball hoops, sand Volleyball, Picnic tables, trails and sunset views. All vehicles entering park need a key card to open the gate.
Point Venture’s community pool is immaculately clean with plenty of lounge chairs and shade. Please note the pool is unheated and there is no lifeguard on duty. Use the key card to open the gate.
Community tennis and pickleball courts are available to guests first come-first served. We have some basic equipment or you can bring your own.
The PV 9-hole golf course is walkable or golf carts may be rented. Green fees and carts are not included in your nightly rate. Bring your own clubs. The PV Indoor HOA gym is air conditioned and near the Point Venture pool.
Enjoy watching birds, boats, jet skis and the sunset from the covered balcony with Bistro tables and chairs. It’s a relaxing spot both morning and night.

• 2 continuously recording Ring motion cameras facing exterior entrances for security / liability purposes;
• For liability and per Airbnb guidelines - your booking represents consent and agreement of our house and HOA rules.
• No tobacco / THC products or vaping inside due to lingering odors. Additional cleaning fees of $150 will apply if smoke odor inside is detected;
• No fires or fire pits allowed on property or in the park due to drought conditions;
• The number of guests using the house must not exceed the number of guests booked unless okayed in advance by owner. Additional nightly fees can apply;
• We are a pet free home and service animals may not be left unattended per the Federal Service Animal law. If they are service animals you are to take them with you when leaving the house for errands or day trips. If for some reason you bring a pet and do not disclose, we will request a $250 per day per pet fee.
• The A/C Thermostat will not go below 68 degrees;
• We do not have a fast EV charging station. Only a 110 outlet - Please disclose in your booking that you will need EV charging and then agree to only charge during off peak hours. Guest may incur an add on fee based on kwh usage if excessive (via the resolution center.)
• Access to the POA boat ramp and swimming pool are for paying guests only;
• Per HOA rules, parking is only permitted in driveways - street parking can result in a ticket or a tow which guests will be responsible for paying.
Please note:
All homes in Point Venture use a Grinder Pump and it will be damaged at your expense if anything other than TP is flushed (please do not flush diapers/food/rags/hygiene products/paper towels).

Other things to note
Howdy ! My family has been enjoying Point Venture on Lake Travis for decades. The Deckhouse is a wonderful home to relax and recharge. I am grateful to my parents who built The Deckhouse for us to gather and create memories. It has been a sincere pleasure to become a host so that more families may create memories here like we did - and make Point Venture a family vacation tradition.
