Excellent place to stay. Beautiful. Loved all the gardens and flowers. About 100 yards from an absolutely gorgeous view of Seattle skyline and Mt. Ranier. Quiet, heated floors, coffee and tea bar - just wonderful. Kate was the best And her husband built the house we stayed in - amazing! Even had a greenhouse in it.
The Gormley's were wonderful hosts. Very welcoming and thoughtful in their preperation of the space and showing us around. They provided some excellent suggestions in regards to local food and sight seeing. The space was comfortable and exactly as described! Would recommend!
This place was just perfect! My husband and I came over for two days and one night, and staying at Kate's place was nothing short of perfect! They were great hosts. The place was beautiful (amazing views) clean, comfortable and a great location! Thanks for having us Kate!
Wow! This place was the perfect place to stay. Peaceful, serene, beautiful views. Kate and Michael were such fun and engaging hosts! Their hospitality was great. We loved the comfortable bed, modern/fun decor, heated floors (in the bedroom and bathroom), and rainfall shower. We woke up to nice views of the waterfront. Also, we enjoyed the ferry experience between Bainbridge and Seattle (~35 min.). Thank you, Kate and Michael!
We came back for a three-night stay about a week after our first one-night visit, and once again had a great experience. The sun even came out on our last morning so we could take in the beautiful view from the bedroom. We would definitely stay here again should the need arise. Thanks, Kate!
Lovely, idyllic getaway. Kate and Mike are great hosts. Can't recommend the place highly enough!
Had a great stay at Kate's place. Everything was clean and nicely appointed. There were even chocolates on the pillow! Kate was a kind host and we loved that we were so close to the shops in Rolling Bay.
Kate is a former Programs & Communication Director for an award-winning public garden on Bainbridge Island, and an avid gardener and environmental volunteer. Michael is a retired contractor/carpenter, does lots of volunteer work with local, regional and national environmental organizations, and has lived on Bainbridge Island for 30+ years. We are both sailors, with open ocean experience. We love travel to warm weather destinations, archaeology and music. And enjoy staying at other airbnbs and meeting other airbnb hosts!
