We are one couple with one child. The falt is enough for us. We have a bedroom and one living room with kitchen. There are enough space for all of us.
Eline is very kind and helpful. She always try to figure out everything for us. We really enjoy our stay.
It was a nice stay!
The apartment is nice and comfortable and Eline is a very kind person.
The surrounding is truly peaceful and close to the center of town.
Me and my girlfriend were very satisfied and if we come back to Windhoek we will try to rent it again.
It's great! The lovely apartment, Eline and her family, the location.. the whole atmosphere makes you feel right at home. Only risk of staying here is that you don't want to leave :-)
Perfect. Stayed two nights. Suited my needs. Clean. Space.
Warm hospitality of the owner. I enjoyed every minute!
This is truly accommodation that makes you feel like you are home!
It is really central located and you can walk to the city safely. Stunning place with all you need in one place.
The apartment was Very nice, plenty of space. Located in a quite area and very well equiped.
Simpsons no 1 is a great place to stay in Windhoek, and we would warmly recommend it. We stayed for a night when we first arrived in Namibia, fell in love with it, and were very excited to return there for our last night after touring the country.
The place is very spacious for 2 guests, is nicely decorated, and has a lot of character - with a funky brick wall and a big terrace perfect for sunny lunches. The location is very central, in a quiet residential neighbourhood. All in all, amazing value-for-money!
Eline was also extremely helpful and easy to correspond with, and very flexible with our arrival and departure times. If we ever find ourselves in Windhoek again, we would definitely hope to stay at Simpson no 1.
Eline's place is lovely! It is in a good location, only an easy walk or taxi trip into the centre of the city. The apartment is clean and has everything you need, including a well-equipped kitchen. As others have said, the Fusion restaurant just a few streets away has great food for a good price, definitely some of the nicest food we had in Namibia. Eline was very helpful both via email communication and in person. Also, the dogs are super friendly and very quiet! Definitely a great place to stay in Windhoek!
My Time here was amazing! Eline provided a lovely balance of privacy yet, she was always available to answer questions or to accommodate requests. The flat was perfect - very stylish, comfortable, clean and open (there are 2 decks - 1 off of the bedroom as well as the living room). I walked to the city center most days (20 mins - it was winter!). Catching a taxi is easy and inexpensive also. There was a great yoga class down the street from her place as well!
I was in Namibia for ~3months working as an intern. I was traveling alone (mid 30's female). Eline's flat provided me with a quiet private place where I could effectively work from home and a home-base where I felt safe, happily return back to after short trips exploring the country.
Her family is fantastic and her dogs are lovely. If you aren't a fan of dogs - don't worry - her dogs respect your privacy too! - they are trained not to come up to the flat.
Elaine was a friendly and helpful host. The relaxed and easy manner of the stay made us feel welcome. The facilities were adequate for our needs and we enjoyed our stay.
Eline hosted me and my girlfriend for two nights upon our arrival in Namibia. It is a great place, very nicely decorated and with a great terrace. Eline and her family are adorable. She gave us plenty of very helpful tips for our stay in Windhoek and the two-week trip throughout Namibia. It was also extremely interesting to learn some facts about Namibia from a local person, especially in the nice atmosphere of her home.
