A Modern Look in a Country Setting!

House - Private room · Douglas Drive North, Minneapolis, MN 55422, United States

The room is in the lower basement of the house. It's cool in the summer & a bit colder in the winter. During those times I gladly turn the heat up in the house or guest is welcomed to use a portable heater as well. It's comfy, spacious, & clean.

  • I stayed for four nights with Edna and loved it. She is a great hostess and ensured that my stay was comfortable. The accommodations are lovely and the bed is comfortable. I liked the neighborhood too; she says 'country setting', and while I see why, Minneapolis is very easy to get around (I am from LA). The first morning we saw a deer in her backyard! There's also a great restaurant within walking distance. I plan on staying here again if I return to Minneapolis, which I very well might this summer...as I am a Prince fan and this is Purple Rain's 30th anniversary!! :)

  • Edna is a great host, the room is very comfortable and clean. Her home is about half a mile from Hwy 100 so it was very easy to move around the Twin Cities. I got in late the first night so Edna took me out for spicy wings at Pub42. Which was just down the road a ways. Then being Minnesota we got 8" of snow the next night. By the time I was ready to leave Edna had dug my van out and cleaned the snow off the van, which was very kind of her. I would definitely recommend staying at Edna's.

  • Edna was really really helpful.I got lost a little in the city and she made sure that I am fine and called me and gave me helpful tips about where to go and what to do.We kept in touch the whole time. the room was as the puctures were,it was comfy and warm and clean. The dog was adorable, don't get scared there is one, because the dog is cute, likes to play and fool around but doesn't actually bother you.Edna even managed to make some breakfast and we had food together! i had a great time although a little short though, because I just needed to stay one day.But I definitely would recommend it

  • I stayed at Miss E's place for over a month and would recommend her place to anyone looking for a neat, clean, quiet and warm place to stay. Miss E was an exceptional host who truly cares for her guests. She went to extra lengths to make sure I was comfortable during my stay. Miss E's was my first AirBnB stay, and I can say it's a great start!

  • We stayed 5 nights with Ms. E and we really appreciated it. Ms E. is a wonderful, bright and warmhearted woman.
We could sleep well in her guestroom which is in the basement which is pretty nice because during summertime it can be very hot in Minneapolis.
The bus connection from her house to MPLS Downtown is very quick and easy as the bus stop is just across the street. Supermarket, a Restaurant and Gym are within walking distance which is really pleasent. Ms. E showed us her neighbourhood so that we could easily walk around by our own. She was also very helpfully with concerning bus schedule and any other informations about places where to go in MPLS. If you stay with Ms E. and her cute little dog make sure that you try one of her delicous omlette! You will not start your day hungry!
