Peace and tranquility are what you will find in this secluded gem...camping with some perks! Located on a private wildlife management property are two cabins -Margaret's Nest/Richard's Haven, a bathhouse, and an outdoor kitchen. The camp area is nestled next to a growing fruit orchard. Enjoy a nature walk through the woods on beautiful walking trails. Uniquely designed, this relaxing getaway allows you to experience camping trips of the past with some modern conveniences of the present.
The space
Two cabins are on the property but will not be rented to two different parties at the same time. Please specify which cabin you prefer- Margaret's Nest or Richard's Haven-when booking. If needing extra space, two cabins are available for family and friends. This campground has been uniquely designed to create almost the same environment that once existed on this property. Until the 1970's, the old farmhouse did not include running water or plumbing. To somewhat recreate what it might have been like, an outhouse (with modern facilities) was created with running potable water. The Outhouse is located about 25 yards from the cabins.
The Outdoor Kitchen has two prep areas and an electric two burner hot plate to cook any of your meals. In addition to the outdoor kitchen, each cabin has a cookshack with grill. Cooking utensils have been provided but guests are asked to supply their own charcoal.
Guest access
Guests have access to the campground, walking trails in the woods behind the cabins, and the pond area. At the current time, there is no fishing available. The two year drought has caused some issues with the pond, and we hope to have those issues resolved soon. No trespassing in fenced areas or where NO TRESPASSING signs are posted.
Other things to note
**TWO cabins are available to rent to the same party with a 20% discount on the second cabin. Please let me know PRIOR to making your reservation so that I can change the price for those nights.
In addition to the cabins, a small fruit orchard is in production on the property and fairly close to the campground. We ask that you refrain from picking any fruit at any time. Fruit will be available for purchase if during in harvest during your visit. Currently, we have peach, apples, plums, pears, and blackberries planted on the property.

From the host
The campsite is located on 33 acres filled with trees, a fruit orchard, and an acre pond. The cabins are at least 10 miles from the nearest grocery store or restaurant and 10 miles from Lake Texoma. We are surrounded by beautiful cattle grazing land, wildlife management properties, and timber land.
