Beautiful Apartment in Prenzlauer Berg. Quiet and Central. 5 Min with Metro to Alexanderplatz.
A freshly renovated 2-room apartment in a 100 years old building ("Altbau") with the original wooden floors, located in a quite and peaceful court yard. We gave a lot of effort in furnishing the apartment with some designer items and carefully selected pieces from various vintage stores.
The apartment is located in the Prenzlauer Berg district, a neighborhood that is situated in the heart of Berlin`s thriving and vibrant life style; from the market at Kollwitzplatz to the Kastanienallee boulevard, the well known galleries and all the things that makes Berlin what it is - Everything is just minutes away.
In the same street you can easily find various neighborhood coffee shops, lovely restaurants (Thai, Korean, Indian, Traditional German) and small boutiques. Around the corner there are supermarkets and bakeries to supply your immediate needs. Just ten minutes walk near by, you can find the famous Mauerpark Flee market. And you are in a shopping mood - the Schoenhauser Allee Arkaden shopping mall is just around the corner.
The nearest Metro Station is Schönhauser Allee (U2, S41, S42, S8, S9, M1) and is located in a walking distance of just 200 Meters from the apartment (a 3 minutes walk). From there you can reach easily Berlin`s sites and attractions within minutes
Very nice apartment - light and airy with all we needed. Perfect for two people. Depite the high celings, and freezing temperatures outside, it managed to be warm. Neighborhood is fine with lots of shops and restaurants, and good transport links to the centre of Berlin (about 20 mins on the U-bahn or S-bahn).
A lovely quiet flat in a great neighbourhood - nice local bars and really easy to get into central Berlin (and to and from the Schoenfeld airport). We arrived a bit late, but that was no problem. Thanks
Very nice, spacious and clean apartment in Prenzlauerberg. Close to public transport, shops and many many good restaurants (Onkel Ho at Gleimstrasse being our favorite) We rented bikes for a couple of days and were surprised how bike-friendly Berlin is. Bikes could be parked safely in the patio of the building.
The flat itself is nice and very clean. Everything you need is there, including some basics like coffee, tea and soap. We did not meet the owner himself, but Casio took care of a smooth check-in.
The apartment is amazing! Big, clean, comfortable. It's 2 minutes walk from a train hub, so you can easily get to any place in the city by only one train. There are lot's of restaurants and pubs around the apartment.
We never met Nissan in person, the apartment is managed by a very sweet guy-Casio. He met us in the apartment, explained everything and let us be.
The only problem we encountered- we were supposed to call Casio when we landed- to get instructions how to arrive to the apartment, and to set time for meeting. But we couldn't reach Casio for some reason, so it took us about an hour to get hold of him and be sure that he is waiting for us.
I would recommend to set the meeting time, and get arriving instructions in advance-to avoid unpleasant surprises.
Nissan's apartment was just as described - clean, spacious and close to public transport. Plus, there are some great places to eat nearby and getting around was very easy. Nissan also provided a few recommendations for local restaurants (we loved Spreegold!)
The apartment was in a safe and secure complex in a great part of Berlin that is away from the main tourist spots. This allowed us to see Berlin through a local's eyes, but you'd be wise to learn a few basic German phrases as it doesn't cater for tourists like the central parts do e.g. menus in English.
Loved it and would totally stay here again. Highly recommended.
Great location and clean and spacious flat. Very quiet and a nice neighbourhood.
We totally agree with all the other positive reviews. Lovely clean and spacious apartment in a nice neighborhood, and good service and communication from Nissan and Casio. We have enjoyed our holidays in Berlin and celebrated the 25th anniversary of the fall of the wall by 15 km walk along the lichtgrenze and street party at the Brandenburg Gate
