  • Jessica, our host, was fantastic, helpful, responsive, and shared many ideas of local interests. The apt was more than adequate and had everything in it according to the pictures. Location was outstanding!!! Wonderful to be on the plaza with many cafes, shops, and bars close; yet without much distraction for good sleep as bedroom is at back aof apt.

  • Staying Jessica's El Born flat was the perfect introduction to Barcelona--I can't imagine being in a better area to experience the sites of the city and the great restaurants around every corner, while not feeling like you're just another tourist dodging the crowds in Las Ramblas.

The flat itself is very charming, real 'old town' Barcelona vibe, while still feeling "upscale" . . . it's comfortable, homey, and has everything you need--it was also a bit bigger than we expected based on the pictures. And we loved the Plaça below!!

One thing about these buildings in the old town areas is they tend to be a bit noisier than your cushy hotels (this coming from someone who's lived in the 'pin drop' quiet suburbs for the past decade). But we wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else.

And then there's Jessica, who was the perfect host. She is so accommodating and professional about everything . . . even on our first night when we weren't getting in until until late at night--she didn't leave the key with someone like we said would be fine to do. Rather, she had no problem being there when we arrived to show us the unit, answer questions, etc.

It was really a great stay . . . thanks Jessica!!

  • What a great find. A very central location but not noisy: a rare combination for Barcelona :) It's also a really pretty flat with a cute balcony overlooking the small square below. Jessica was very nice and helpful throughout and everything ran super smoothly.

  • Wow - this is the perfect spot to experience Barcelona! We had the most amazing 5 weeks living here. El Borne is perfect - in the old city, has a very authentic feel to it, but you still have access to everything you need and it is very easy to walk around and find things (beach, nightlife, museums, churches/cathedrals etc). Loved it. The apartment is beautiful - plenty of space, fantastically decorated and faces out over an amazing plaza with coffee shops and little stores and bakeries. Jessica is one of the nicest hosts we have met - it's such a good experience to rent from someone who is cheerful and helpful. :) Thanks so much Jessica, we already miss the apartment and Spain lots.

  • Although I arrived later than agreed, Jennifer instantly managed to send her husband for dropping the keys. The apartment lies very central and it was a great stay. One thing to mention, as it was very cold at that time, the apartment was a bit chilly, told Jennifer and she promised to arrange for more radiators in future if needed. So overall, very nice, will definitely consider staying there again in the future.
