Other Things to Note
Neighborhood & Fave spots:
+ Grocery Stores: Save Mart (on the way in) & Safeway (also New Moon Natural Grocery but expensive)
+ Great trail for walking the dog - just two blocks away. If you go left on the trail, it stays pretty flat and is a nice walk in the woods!
+ Nice dinner but pricy side: Christy Hill, Tahoe City - on the lake so really nice lake views and good food. If you go, I suggest either requesting a table by the window or sitting outside.
+ Great old school steak house - pricey side:
Old Range Steak House, Tahoe Vista (super classic!)
+ Lunch outdoors on deck with plenty of umbrellas, right on the lake - Sunny Side Resort, Westshore - Outdoor Deck serves "bar menu) Food is relaxed but good. (above bar food style but not overly expensive)
+ Lunch / drinks outdoors go to Garwoods .. this is RIGHT down the street from the house. Great bar, decent food, not pricey. Beautifully situated on the lake and super close to the house.
+ Best shopping for clothes: Fine & Funky in Tahoe City.
+ Great massage place: Lighthouse Spa. (Nice but not super swanky)

Have a wonderful vacation!!!
What a great experience! The cabin is conveniently located close to Squaw and other great resorts in North Lake. The place is nicely furnished with a hot tub on the back terrace. Perfect for family or group getaways! Don't forget to stock up on toiletries (paper towels, soap, etc.) if you plan to stay for more than a couple days. Thanks Robert!
The house was perfect - clean, spacious, warm and had all amenities needed. Robert was very responsive and ensured we knew we could contact him at anytime if we needed anything.
We had a great time at this beautiful home. Everything was very clean an comfortable, with everything that we could possibly need. The deck is perfect for hanging out and star gazing. Home is in a wonderful location. We would definitely stay here again.
Robert is a very welcoming host and seems like a genuinely nice person. I felt as though he had our comfort in mind during our stay.
Thank you Robert for your hospitality!
We had a wonderful time inspite of probably the worst snow conditions in over 30+ years. Lake Tahoe is a wonderful area at the worst of times and Rob's house is in a perfect central location to venture out almost anywhere. It is only six minutes to Tahoe city and when the snow did fall it was cleared very early right into his street making our exit very easy. This was supplemented by a very good local contractor who also arrived very early in the morning to clear the driveway. All in all a great experience.
We stayed at the house for almost 6 weeks. It is well laid out spacious and easy to use with lots of gadgets and certainly a nice warm cozy place with an excellent hot tub that we used almost every day.
Our host was very accommodating and cooperative making us feel welcome.
We hope to be back next year.
This is a beautiful house, very peaceful. Our stay was very nice, there were 8 of us and there was plenty of room to sleep and relax. We have a girlfriends getaway every year and our big "want" is a table large enough to all sit at and enough showers to get 8 women out the door at a decent time in the morning. This house met both those requirements.
Where we wish things were different: 1) there was no toilet paper in two of the bathrooms and we were unable to find any 2) no soap for the bathroom sinks and 3) no gas for the BBQ. These were three things we would expect for paying for a vacation rental. Contacted Robert and he responded quickly to buy what we need. It would have been nice for the house to be stocked so we didn't have to run out (after just driving 3 1/2 hours to get there) and purchase these essentials on our own dime with no deduction from the price.
Dishes and laundry (both clean) were found in the dishwasher and dryer upon arrival, a heads up would have been nice that this is where to find these things. Not necessarily a bad thing, just different from other places we've rented.
The reservation was canceled 2 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The house is really nice and cosy! The deck is a real plus!
Unfortunately the hot tub was not working, but Robert offered a partial refund.
This is a great place to stay to enjoy Tahoe.
I am an SF native, born and raised. Ive been enjoying the Tahoe area since childhood and about 10 years ago was in a position to buy a house with some family members. We now open this home to you and hope that you treat it as you would your own.
