I had a wonderful stay at Hobbit House. You will love waking up to the rooster and morning yoga, as I did! My hosts made me feel extremely comfortable and welcome. The location was great and you get to drive by strawberry fields on your way to their street! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and hope to visit again soon.
This was a wonderful place to stay to feel rejuvenated. During time that I had planned to be in Europe, I decided to stayed here for a solo trip after a hike in Big Basin. Sukhmandir and his wife were very welcoming. The yoga session in the morning was a gift. I told him I'd love to come back just to be guided through another yoga practice. I hope to stay in this hobbit hall again.
Sukhmandir Kaur and Singh were excellent hosts. We were welcomed warmly and had an excellent stay. We were out and about for most of our stay (we had family obligations), but they always invited us to share their table (and the smell of all the delicious food was torture)!
Their grandchildren happened to be over and our kids were invited to stay and play. Our kids loved being around the other kids, goats, chickens...and loved the trampoline. We've never gone on vacation and wanted to 'stay home' more! We had a wonderful time and hope to have an excuse to come back again.
Hobbit hall is a wonderful place to stay. I stayed for a few weeks during a work assignment, and the hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. The house and its surroundings are very peaceful, and it was great to come home after work and be greeted by the pets (who stay outdoors). Location-wise, it is very convenient, located close to Salinas and the Monterey area.
The house was peaceful and inviting and the hosts were friendly and made me feel well cared for. I was at a conference with very long days so I didn't actually get to spend much waking time there but I would love to stay again on a future trip.
I arrived later than normal due to a long drive. I felt bad keeping them up, but they were so nice and welcoming. They helped me get my stuff in the room. The little door into hobbit hall is so cute! I didn't partake in morning Yoga as I was already thrown off so much by the time zone difference.
Sukhmandir Kaur was very welcoming and hospitable. The hobbit hall was clean and comfortable. My husband and I are from out of town and stayed one Saturday night to attend a nearby event Sunday morning. We were invited to the yoga class at 5am, but decided to stay in and catch up on rest. Just before we left Sunday morning, Sukhmandir Kaur offered us fresh, homemade roti with yogurt, which was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed our stay, especially being serenaded all night by the frogs outside our window and falling asleep/waking up up to the wonderful aroma of homemade Indian food.
