We speak Spanish and English and will welcome you to experience the simple life of NIcaragua. Our hope is that you will have a "real" experience and learn from us about Nicaragua by staying in our humble home.
We have one large room near two showers and two bathrooms. The spacious room has fans with bunk beds equipped with linens and pilllows.
We are happy to provide you with a tour of Managua for $40 plus fees for excursions or entrance fees for your group. We ask for advance notice so that we can plan for you. As well, we can pick up and drop off from the airport for $20 per group of 4.
The culture museum is a perfect introduction to Nicaragua. It houses artifacts, art, archeological information, murals, sculpture, and is near other sites of interest such as the plaza, memorials, and the old cathedral. Cost is about $4-5 for adults.
We would also invite you to learn more about our non-profit organization called Women in Action. It is part of an organization called Compas de Nicaragua. (see our website online) Women in Action members enjoy building community through an artist's coop and supports educational and nutritional projects. If you would like to see our center we will treat you to a tour where you can meet the women artists and purchase hand-crocheted shopping bags of recycled materials or one-of-a-kind gourds carved by some amazingly talented women!
However long you stay, we welcome you to learn about our beautiful land of lakes and volcanoes.
Please bring a towel. Bed linens and pillows are provided.

I live with my partner, Eric and our son Moises as well as an assistant to our project called Compas de Nicaragua. His name is Charlie. I come from a family of 11 people who grew up in this neighborhood. My sisters and parents often visit. I have traveled to the US many times and can share my experiences with you.
