The Space

Private room in beautiful Christina Lake home within walking distance to the beach. Guest room has queensize bed; private bath with shower (no tub). Amenities include WiFi, use of kitchen, gas bbq & hot tub. Activities in the area include swimming, boating & other water sports, hiking & biking (many trails including the Trans Canada Trail), golf nearby at the Cascade Par 3 or the Christina Lake Golf & Country Club (an 18 hole championship course), horseback riding, or tubing down the Kettle River. In winter - snowmobile trails, cross country skiing, and at Red Mountain Ski Resort (45 min drive) there is downhill skiing and snowboarding. We are in a quiet location, with wildlife that regularly visits our yard. This is a newer custom built home, and we are still in the process of landscaping our yard.

  • Lovely hosts, gorgeous place and such good value. It's really challenging to find decent accommodations in this area of the Interior, so finding a clean, friendly place to stay was a treat.

  • Gail and her husband were very accommodating. We arrived quite late at night (and on short notice) while travelling on the road. The room and bathroom was clean, quiet and very comfortable. While our stay was very brief, we were able to chat over coffee in the morning before hitting the road again. Much better than a hotel! Would definitely recommend staying here if in Christina Lake. Beautiful surroundings too.

  • I had a wonderful stay in this beautifully custom built home! Gail and her husband were a very nice couple. She went totally out of her way to make me feel at home and even gave me tours of the area and took me shopping. Who could ask for more? Thank you Gail.

  • Doing things at the last minuet can cause trouble. I booked the wrong weekend and after texting Gail ,while on the road to my BNB,she changed her plans and
let me rest my head is their retreat like home.:)

  • Gail and Gregg were gracious and vibrant hosts - making us feel right at home in their beautiful house. They had great advice on trails to visit and places to explore in the area. We cooked our meals in their well-appointed kitchen. The room and bathroom were beautiful and the nighttimes so quiet. They are working on a gorgeous landscaping project on their property, with water features and terraced gardens. The hot tub looks out over this garden area - it's just lovely to sit there in the tub and gaze at the fountains lit up at night. Their house is really close to the border, so you could pop over to do cross border shopping if you were so inclined. We really enjoyed our stay - it was a great private getaway. Thanks Gail and Gregg!
