Bottom floor apartment---only used by vacationers---located in the heart of the Inner Sunset in San Francisco, a very popular local neighborhood with great restaurants. One of San Francisco's safest neighborhoods!
One block from 9th & Irving, a great area with all the amenities needed. Just two blocks from Golden Gate Park with all the central attractions, including the Academy of Sciences, De Young Museum, Botanical Gardens, Japanese Tea Garden and more. Over forty restaurants, including the city's best sushi, Thai, and Indian, all within three blocks walking distance. MUNI (rail car and buses) only 1 block away with city car share rental sites close by as well. Beach is a short drive or train ride away.
2 full bedrooms, that share a wall as well as a comfortable sleeper sofa for two. There is accessibility to a Pack N Play for infants and one full bathroom. High-speed wifi and full cable TV: you can surf the net or watch your favorite shows. Super kid-friendly (we have a pre-schooler); balls, toddler chair, board games, etc.
Room1: Queen Bed
Room2: Queen Bed
Besides the two bedrooms, there is a double sleeper sofa and access to a Pack N Play for infants. Parking can be difficult, SF is infamous for parking issues, so we suggest leaving the car at the airport and walking around the City. My mom, aunt, and I stayed at Ashley's lovely home for a week. It's probably become one of my favorite neighborhoods in SF! It's only steps away from Golden Gate Park (go to the De Young sculpture garden, there's a marvelous sculpture hidden away in there). Lots of great restaurants nearby too, and easy to get downtown. The home was just the right size for the three of us and I couldn't have asked for a better location.
This apartment made a huge impact on our girls trip to San Francisco. To start off, Ashley was a lovely hostess. She was easy to get in with by phone and email and she answered all our questions. The apartment itself is very cute, clean and inviting. When planning our trip we quickly realized that 5 ladies in a hotel room, or even 2 hotel rooms, was going to be a bit crammed. It was nice to have some extra space, and especially nice to have a kitchen. We felt it saved us quite a bit to be able to make a pot of coffee and breakfast. The location of this apartment is a huge plus. It's so close to the park and the neighborhood is really fun. There are a lot of great options within a 5 minute walk for both restuarants and bars. We had some of the best sushi and Thai food in the city not 2 minutes away. On Sunday's there's a very charming farmer's market (we left with way more food than we needed, including a completely unnecessary pie we were forced to finish for breakfast on our last day). There's also a few grocery stores within an easy walk to get your breakfast supplies. The other great thing about the neighborhood is that it's extrememly easy to utilize the MUNI and public transportation system. There are stops for multiple routes near the apartment, so we had no trouble getting to where we needed to go. There is only one thing in this apartment to be aware of: the two bedrooms are connected. There are doors between them, but if you were searching for absolute privacy from the other bedroom you might not get that. We loved it because we left the doors open and our girl's trip had a lovely slumber party feel, but it's something good to know. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. We would recommend this apartment on the basis of location alone, but every other aspect was also wonderful!
This is a great choice for a stay in SF, in a neat neighbourhood by the park, lots of restaurants & cafe's nearby. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival - a quality apartment, great sized rooms and good furnishings. If anything it is undersold, especially the kitchen which you could cook just about anything in, Breakfast provisions were provided too!
As it turned out, it rained the whole time we were in SF, so we spent more time in the rental than we ordinarily would have, so having a quality place made this easier.
The listing suggests not bringing a car and that is good advice. Parking is not easy around here, though I always did manage to find something within a few blocks.
The hosts were helpful and responsive, and always nearby if needed.
I have no hesitation in recommending Ashley and her apartment.
Absolutely fab gorgeous apt. Great location, clean, and comfy. ashley and her husband were extremely kind and helpful but also respected our privacy. I know many people wrote about getting breakfast, i cant comment on that bc i think we showed up just as the cleaners were leaving so ashley prob did not have time. 110% would stay there again and would recommend to anyone!
Ashley has a warm and inviting home. We are so grateful to have had such an easy environment to launch our move. The apartment is lovely as is the neighborhood. Ashley is very responsive. We would and will stay here again!
This was a wonderful apartment-very well equipped & very well located. Ashley was very friendly & helpful-we particularly appreciated the breakfast (coffee, bagels and fruits) ! I will most certainly recommend this location to friends and family that visit SF!
We couldn't be happier with Ashley's apartment. The location is great, it is located on a quit street, yet just blocks away from the Golden Gate Park and just steps away from some the coffee shops, restaurants and yoga studio. The apartment itself is charming, comfortable and very clean. Ashley is super pleasant and quick to responses my questions and requests; she even picked up fresh fruits and bagels for us. We had a great time in San Francisco and we can't wait to go back there again! Thanks Ashley for being such a great host!
For what it's worth, Linda, Elliott and I had an amazing time in San Fran,
and a large portion of that can be attributed to your great apartment, and
the awesome Inner Sunset area.
We found the location of your apartment brilliant and so convenient for
launching our daily explorations through Inner Sunset and Golden Gate Park,
and (after building up a bit of courage!) really enjoyed the proximity of
the N-Judah line and the ability to visit Haight Ashbury, downtown and
access other lines to Chinatown and pier 39 (Elliott was particularly
smitten with the carousel in Golden Gate Park, and Park Chow's pancakes!).
To the apartment itself; unfortunately I don't think I can provide you with
much advice because it was genuinely perfect for our needs on this trip-
the kitchen is well set out and user-friendly, we found the 'baby change'
room extremely useful, and all other aspects of the apartment met our
needs. On a personal note, we really appreciated the bagels and fruit, and
your visit to check up with us and make sure everything was ok on our
Perhaps one thing I could suggest would be to have some sort of clear
guideline for new guests re: the food in the pantry and the fridge. The
people that had stayed in the apartment before us left some milk & jam etc.
in the fridge and Linda and I weren't sure if we could use it or if it was
yours or if we should throw it out etc. Maybe you could write somewhere
"feel free to use up any left over food in fridge/pantry" or something like
that for new guests.
Please note that this is a very small detail and our uncertainty over the
food/condiments on the fridge did not reduce our enjoyment of the apartment
I have been lucky enough to visit San Fran 3 times now, and it is easily my
favourite city in the US, and I was so pleased that Linda absolutely fell
in love with San Fran, in particular the Inner Sunset area- and Elliott
really enjoyed our time there too. Since our visit, Linda regularly puts in
requests to sell up everything down here in rAdelaide and move to SF for at
least a year! While I don't think that will be happening any time soon, I
have no doubt that we will visit your awesome city again, and we would love
to stay with you guys again if you'd have us.
My mother and aunt stayed at Ashley's airbnb apartment and enjoyed their stay very much. The accommodations were more than adequate. My mother and aunt both remarked on how they had very comfortable beds and the apartment was quiet and had everything they needed. Ashley was flexible, helpful and quickly responded to our communications and requests. She gave my family space and privacy as well. I will most certainly recommend this location to friends and family that visit SF!
