The apartment was great, in a perfect location with plenty of ethnic restaurants, a local market, and a block from golden gate park. The host checked in during the visit and was available for questions. Great base location for our San Francisco vacation.
We have had just a lovely stay at Ashley's place. We felt really welcome. It was our first part of a long trip, and with 2 children of 10 and 13 it was so nice to have a quiet place in a busy city. The beds were great, suitable for 4, and the kitchen well equipped.Ashley provided breakfast for the first night which was a pleasant surprise, waking up relaxed like that. Kids enjoyed the large TV after a long day sightseeing in the city. I would highly recommend, must more accommodating than a hotel!
The Inner Sunset neighborhood is a great place to stay because it's within walking distance of bars and restaurants, Golden Gate Park, and public transportation. We were able to navigate easily to touristy spots like Fisherman's Wharf and AT&T Park, while feeling like part of the Inner Sunset neighborhood. I felt safe walking around late at night.
The house had plenty of room for five of us. It has two large bedrooms and a pullout couch.
Ashley was accommodating and communicative. We truly enjoyed our stay!
Thank you for a wonderful stay in your apartment. We really liked that it was spacious ( hope you understand what we mean) and the nice neighborhood. Also so very good with breakfast the first morning. Everything was great.
All the best to you and your family,
Susann Erik Theo Filip
Ashley was the perfect host. She was there when we arrived ,walked us through the apartment which was very clean with a beautiful bathroom. She went over where the attractions were on a map. She is very thoughtful, leaving us flowers, breakfast and fruit. The location of the apartment was perfect,it is quiet, safe, and central to everything. My husband a marathon runner did several runs inside Golden Gate Park, which is a short distance from our stay. There are public transportation within a short walk so no need for a car.
Irving street is a few houses away with a plethora of restaurants. It is an amazingly interesting area. We were very comfortable and had a great stay.
If someone had not suggested we search Airbnb, we would have had to go outside of SF for something affordable. We found this first floor apartment rental near Golden Gate Park. It was more spacious than a hotel room, with a living/dining room and full kitchen. Our host/Hostess kindly provided fresh fruit and bagels and cream cheese to welcome us. It was convenient to attractions (Botanical Garden, MOMA and Academy of Science) and transportation. Within a two-block radius was the Crepe Vine, a great place for huge portions of breakfast/lunch goodies; Manna, for great and inexpensive Korean cuisine, Tart-to-Tart and Arizmendi, two yummy bakery/cafes, and nearby book store and food markets. If you like the outdoors you can take morning runs/walks through the lovely Golden Gate Park. We enjoyed our accommodations and loved the ambiance of the neighborhood so much that we hope to come back on our next visit to SF.
First time user of airbnb. Arrived apartment with friendly host Ashley there to welcome us and give us a brief about the house and neighborhood. House is very cosy as seen on picture and host was very nice to leave us bagels, orange juice and coffee for our consumption. Location is wonderful as it is very accessible to downtown, supermarkets, restaurants, park etc around. As we were used to living in hotels for vacations, we were reminded by host to turn off the heater one day when it slipped out mind. Housekeeping was not available like in the past so we had to bring the bedsheets for laundry and cover for dry cleaners on our own and picked them up as my sick son vomited on them. That wasted one day of our vacation staying home waiting for laundry.
Thanks, Debbie and family. I am glad you enjoyed your trip and the first Airbnb stay. Our apartment's location is one of the things we love as so visitors can explore close to here or go downtown. We do not have on demand housekeeping like hotels but we are lucky to have amenities so close. Please feel free to reach out again if you visit San Francisco :) All the best, Ashley
About the Host, Ashley
A true Southern girl from Tennessee, I moved to San Francisco about thirteen years ago and fell in love...with the City! San Francisco is beautiful, warm-hearted and beats to its own rhythm...what's not to love? Not too long after, I fell in love with my husband and we now have young daughter who makes our life complete. We know the City quite well and cannot wait to meet you and your family or significant other to help you explore the "touristy" spots and the "not-so-touristy" spots. We look forward to hosting you! Happy and safe travels! :)
