_Riad Amalia is in the center of Medina. It is near to the Souks, 5 minutes walk to Jamaa El Fna and a 15 minutes walk to the modern city.
It has 3 floors. 1st floor: Moroccan living room with satellite TV. and bathroom with shower. 2nd floor: 2 bedrooms. 3th floor: kitchen; bathroom with shower and roof terrace where you can take breakfast in the morning sun. The sun sets are gorgeous.
_I could pick you up at the airport in a taxi. Also the bus brings you straight from the airport to Jamaa El Fna, which is only about 5 minutes walk from the Riad. If you need, I will give you directions. Moroccan Breakfast is provided.~Laundry service is right in the street.
The Riad has:
~WiFi internet connection.
~Air Condition Hot&Cold.
I am Amine and I am also a guide in Morocco. I organise trips to Sahara with camel trekkings, to the Atlas mountains and around Marrakech. I know every place in Morocco.I am a cook and so I can teach you the typical moroccan kitchen. What are you waiting for? 4000 welcomes.
I can only add my positive comments to the many positive ones given earlier! The riad is very small and very simple, but cozy and intimate, and Amine is truely very helpfull and warmhearted. Hisx desert-excursion may cost a bit more than the ones offered by the agencies, but it is worth it, since he takes you to very special places not touched by the mass tourism. A perfect place for low budget travellers looking for a special experience!
Stay at Amines..truly a very personal experience..he was the nicest and most helpful host you could find. Riad is centrally located very near to souqs and if you follow Amines direction 5 minutes away from Jema Al fena square ..Red room I was staying in was small but very nicely decorated. Breakfast in the morning and late night Pasta dinner once not the tastiest of the Morrocon food :) but yes the most filling with interesting company of bobs and his wife. .I had the privilege to spend time with other guests Rachel, Bob and Jane, Jacqueline. All paid trip to mountains and saffron farm on the way was amazing , a tad expensive for just a day though I enjoyed the tasty tangine food at the top. Amine was really kind on my last day as I had to travel to Casa via train. All in all a great trip I will surely recommend it for single travelers and couples (website hidden) : Amine is a good chess player though can be beaten make sure to put your bets on before beginning the play..:)
Amine is, from start to finish, a really friendly, helpful and well-organized host. His Riad 'Amalia' is very central located in the Medina district, which makes it easy to walk to every sight. On top of that, he serves a daily breakfast! To summarize, I had a wonderful time in Marrakech and would happily come back to Amine. If you're looking for a real-Marrakech experience, look no further!
My brother and I were in Marrakesh Jan. 15-17 and we stayed with Amine at his home, Riad Amalia, while we were there. It was lovely! He has two bedrooms available, which are both beautifully decorated and have wonderful Moroccan craftsmanship throughout. Both rooms are equipped with an air conditioning unit that also operates as a heater, which was great because it was quite chilly in Marrakesh in January. There is a washroom with toilet on the first floor adjoining the living room, and then a shower and toilet on the third floor adjoining a rooftop terrace and kitchen. The bedrooms are in the middle on the second floor. Amine shared with us that he built / designed his home himself, and we thought he did a wonderful job. It was very clean, comfy and welcoming!
Amine is also a wonderful host. He met us in the square as promised and showed us an easy route to navigate the medina to his home so that we would know our way a round a bit. He has a general love of people and cultures and has a way of making you feel right at home during your stay. He provided great tips on things we should check out during our visit, and even took us to a traditional pharmacy to learn about Royal Tea. He went out of his way on several other occasions to ensure we had the most authentic and enjoyable experience possible. We were truly grateful for his guidance and kindness!
Amine is a nice guy and is generous with his time. His home is clean and comfortable and the wifi worked fine (which isn't always a given).
Amine thank you so much for your beautiful assistance and help during my Marrakech holiday. It was my first time in Morocco, my first trip alone, my first Airbnb experience (as a guest). He helped me to understand culture of Morocco people and their nice hospitality. Amine is also a great guide able to organize beautiful trips to mountains (waterfalls) and Sahara desert! I had a very nice time with Amine there. The stay in the Riad Amalia was great too, it was more like to stay in a community of locals instead of a big 'tourist trap'. Thanks a lot Amine!
Amines offer doesn't correspond to the actual facts. There was no Toast, pancake or orange juice for breakfast, but horrible tasting coffee. The "bathrooms" are very low standard. Amine should show pictures in his offer, so one knows what to expect. The beds are very uncomfortable. One is hard like concrete the other one extremely soft. Amine was friendly until we decided Not to go on a tour to the mountains with him because his service seemed to expensive to us. Also he wanted 20€ for a taxi from the airport to his place which really costs 10€, as we found Out when we got one on our own. We , a 4 person family, didn't feel comfortable at all and can't recommend this host. Our first airbnb experience was disappointing.
My stay with Amine was great, the location is amazing only a 7 min walk to Jemaa el-Fna. Amine was very friendly and helpful, he showed us around Marrakech and brought us to spice shops. If you want to stay a real moroccan house, do not look any further than Amine's place.
I would recommend staying here.
A real Marrakech experience. You get very close to how people live in the old town of the city. Amine was a helpful host that was there when we needed him and if not he was a call away just! All the best Amine!
