An entire row home all for you!
My house is a two story, one bedroom/one bath in the beautiful Art Museum/Fairmount neighborhood. The first floor includes the living room which has a pullout couch that can sleep 2. The living room opens up to a spacious kitchen fully equipped for any cooking you would like to do. There is a newly renovated outdoor patio off the kitchen for you to enjoy when the weather is nice. The second floor has a spacious bathroom, large hallway and a bedroom with a queen size bed that sleeps 2. My house has hardwood floors, wireless internet, central air, cable TV, lots of natural light, a fully equipped kitchen and a washer/dryer in the basement. My house is clean, comfortable and you can make yourself at home very easily during your stay. Street parking is available and abundant during the day and on weekends. It does gets harder to park after 6PM when people are getting home from work but public transportation is easy to use, especially if you have an iPhone to help.
The Art Museum/Fairmount area is a great neighborhood with restaurants, bars, corner markets and history including the famous Eastern State Penitentiary. There are many buses within 1-2 blocks of my house that are easy to use and can take you to all areas of interest in the city including downtown, Old City, South Street and Rittenhouse Square. Its just a 5 minute walk to the Art Museum, Fairmount Park and Kelly Drive running path along the Schuylkill River, the Barnes Foundation and Rodin Museum.
Keep house clean.
Respect my house and my things the same way you would yours.
No smoking inside.
Noise level to a minimum to respect neighbors.
Jen's row house in the Art Museum area was bright and roomy. Access was easy, and Jen left a detailed guest guide, and has furnished the house with all the necessities.
She was very responsive, and text-ed back the nearest drug store locations in response to my query.
The house is well furnished, and surprisingly warm on a cold March day. Wednesday night I walked the five blocks or so to the Philadelphia Art Museum, entered on "pay what you can" Wednesday, and did the Treasures of the Museum guided tour. Highly recommended - you see Impressionist masterpieces, of course, but also an amazing Van Eyck only about 10 inches square, and stop in the significant Brancusi collection.
I'll definitely be back, and sit out on the back patio when the weather is warmer.
Jen's place was great, a cute place in a great neighborhood close to everything without being in the middle of it all. Getting in and out was easy, finding parking wasn't hard, quiet area. I had a wonderful stay.
Jen responded to our rental request within one hour, and her attention to detail and customer responsiveness was even more evident when we arrived at her home. The house is immaculate, and very nicely decorated as well. Her directions for everything were thorough, as were her recommendations for places to eat and drink. The central location was perfect for our weekend plans of visiting the local museums, and we spent two full days walking to most of the major museum attractions. Chrome Cast on the TV was an unexpected bonus, and I spent part of Sunday morning streaming TED talks. Definitely a place that I would highly recommend for others looking to easily visit the museums of Philadelphia.
Jen was very friendly and easy to contact. She left great instructions and guides for things to do in Philly. The home was wonderful and looks just as it is shown on the listing. The house was clean and well kept with all the needed supplies for a weekend getaway. The neighborhood was also very nice and felt safe. Was walking distance to the Art Museum. If we could we would definitely like to stay here again in the future!
This place is very clean and organized. The decor is lovely and perfect for a girls' trip. We took a taxi from the Greyhound station in Chinatown to her place and it cost a little over $15 including tips. We didn't get to meet Jen as she needed to work when we checked in. However, she's very friendly in her communications and provided lots of brochures and maps for guests, which were quite helpful. She also had information regarding neighborhood stores, restaurants, and public transportation typed up for us. The bus is really close by and gets us to a lot of the main attractions by the Independence Mall. It was also a nice walk down the Benjamin Franklin Parkway to the City Hall after visiting the Museum of Art (while my daughter naps in a stroller). There is no door to the bedroom or child safety gate by the steps so if you have little ones just be extra careful. Other than that we loved our stay.
Jen's place is great, house is in a quiet neighborhood and getting around is easy with uber or lyft. Really nice restaurants within few minutes walking (website hidden) comes with a chromecast with is really great.
Jen's home was fantastic! Cozy, clean, nicely decorated and the perfect location for exploring all art that Philadelphia has to offer. Jen provided lots of information about local eateries and ways to move about the city. She also made herself available throughout the weekend to answer questions. I very much enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it to travelers especially if they wish to museum hop with abandon! The neighborhood is lovely and the neighbors were very friendly. All in all a wonderful experience.
Hi! I'm a long time Philadelphia resident and love the City of Brotherly Love! I want to open my house up to you so hopefully you can enjoy the city as much as I do. I'm an avid traveling and have been to many countries around the world and recently did my first AirBnb stay in Puerto Rico! I enjoyed my experience as a guest so much that I couldn't help but want to host others.
I love being active and regularly do yoga and CrossFit. I'm a super Foodie and Philadelphia is a great city for trying excellent restaurants of all types. I can give some good recommendation if you need them. I spent almost a year in South America teaching English and backpacking and value meeting good people during my travels.
I am a proud home owner and take great care of my house and I hope that you will too.
