Fishtown is a great neighborhood with lots of character. There are several great bars and pubs within a few blocks' radius and several great restaurants nearby. There are also lots of music venues, art galleries, and coffee shops in the area. There is also a huge supermarket 10 minutes away walking, and a 24 hour 7/11 convenient store 5 minutes away walking.
Public transportation is really convenient here, with the Market/Frankford subway line only a 5 minute walk away. That line connects you to most places in the city you'd want to see. It takes about 5 minutes on the train to get to Center City and the Convention Center, and about 10-12 minutes to 30th St. Station.
Smoking is not permitted inside the house. You are welcome to use the kitchen but please clean up after yourselves. We'll leave the lights on for you if we go to bed before you get home, but please turn them off before you go upstairs. If you are using the window A/C unit in your room we ask that you turn it off when you are not home. When you return your key, please lock the doors from the outside of the house and return the keys through the door's mail slot or put them back in the lock box.
Jon and Allison's place was lovely. I stayed for a few days while working in the area and it felt like staying at home. The bedroom was large with ample space to spread out and the bathroom and kitchen were clean. The parking was a little tricky, but I was able to find a spot with a little effort within 2 blocks every day and the train station was also a quick walk.
I had a great time staying with Jon and Allison in their home. The space provided was clean, quiet, comfortable, and in one word: Perfect. They were great hosts and I appreciate them letting me stay. Fishtown in an ideal location to explore Philly: One subway ride and I was downtown.
Jon & Alison were extremely welcoming from the moment we arrived. Their home is amazing with great vibes all around. From fresh towels, to board games, to a guitar we really felt right at home. Jon & Alison were really great people to be around. They were really helpful at recommending good eats and places to go around the hood. Loco Pez was the perfect mexican food. Would definitely recommend this place to friends!
Jon and Allison were fantastic hosts. As soon as I got to the house they welcomed me in as if I were a roommate, and since I travel a lot it was great to have the feeling of being 'at home.' My room was clean and neat and the house was really comfortable. I loved staying in Fishtown and frequented a bunch of the bars and restaurants. I also enjoyed having access to the subway only a few minutes walk away.
I'd absolutely stay with Jon and Allison again.
Jon and Allison were great. Their home was just. As described and looked just like the picture. It was near and clean and the bed was very comfortable. I would stay with them again. I would only make 1 request that they get a TV for the guest room, other than that it was a great vacation with great accommodations. I enjoyed talking with Jon. He is very interesting.
Jon and Allison were fabulous hosts. The space was awesome. Great people, great location.

About the Host, Jon And Allison
We are avid travelers (we actually met at a hostel while traveling!) and love to meet fellow travelers from around the world. We love food and enjoy trying out new types of food introduced to us. Because things in life (work and school) have made it more difficult for us to travel as much as we would like to, we like to do the next best thing and meet people traveling in our neck of the woods!
