The Studio apartment is located in a residential area in the center. It is quiet and cozy and has everything you need for a pleasant staying in Reykjavik. The buses stop right next to it and everything is within 10 min walking distance.
The studio apartment is located in a quiet residential neighborhood in the center of Reykjavík.
The studio is the ideal place for your stay in Reykjavík. It is located in a quiet residential area right in the center of town. There is a hotel right next door (Hotel Floki) that you can use for the flybus or excursion pickup & drop off and there is a free parking in front of the house.
Close by there are several 24h markets, Bonus supermarket and various restaurants, coffeshops and bars. In just few minutes you can visit the Hallgrimskirkja church and the Reykjavik Art museum, swim in one of the renowned swimming pools, get to the central bus station and walk down Laugavegurinn the main shopping street which is also home to many bars, nightclubs and restaurants.
The studio is one big room (a sleeping area with a queen size bed, and living and dining area with a sofa bed) a fully equipped kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower. It is suitable for up to 2-3 people.
The check in and check out time is flexible, when possible.
Ragnhildur was simply wonderful. She was extremely helpful in her instructions and so quick to respond to my inquiry and which was great because it was such a last minute booking! The apartment was immaculate. It had everything I could ask for- prime location, very clean, and the bed was insanely comfortable! It is too bad I only spent the night there, but next time I'm in Reykjavik I would go back here in a heartbeat. Thank you so much Ragnhildur!
Ragga was an excellent host, the apartment was perfect and only walking distance from a fun downtown. Ragga was wonderful with communication and incredibly accommodating with all of our needs during our stay. I would highly recommend if traveling into Iceland.
We do not have enough good things to say about Ragga and about her lovely studio! First of all, Ragga and her husband were so responsive and kind and went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable. The studio itself was so nice! It was bright and such a wonderful size. The kitchenette was perfect and it was great to have a washing machine to do some laundry if needed. The location could not have been more ideal. You can see Hallgrimskirkja from the street and it was a 5 minute walk (if even) to get to the main shopping street. Staying at Ragga's was wonderful and we really hope that it is available next time we come to Reykjavik, because it is the only place we would want to stay!
Ragga's studio apartment was lovely - clean and well-situated and close to the city center. The bed was comfortable and being able to cook some meals was a god-send for someone traveling with food allergies. There was even detergent provided with the washer, in case you want to do laundry!
Ragga was away when we arrived but had made sure everything was co-ordinated, so even with our extra-early arrival time, it was really easy to settle in. Checkout was also utterly painless. It was an excellent place to stay for my mother and me.
I would highly recommend her place to anyone visiting Reykjavik.
We stayed one night at Ragnhildur's studio in Reykjavik last week (Feb 2014). We didn't get to meet in person but communication was fantastic throughout.
The studio seems to be a decent size repurposed storage unit with a separate bathroom. It's been done up very nicely and it's walking distance from everything you might want to see in Reykjavik.
We went in the middle of a very cold winter week, and despite that the studio, which was by the way spotless, felt very warm and comfortable.
I can only recommend staying at this place, it's truly outstanding value for money and Ragnhildur manages it very efficiently.
Location was great - both for walking into town and nearness to bus pickup point at Village hostel. The studio was cosy, clean and comfortable and a pleasure to come back to after sightseeing. We were worried about being cold in Iceland in February but our fears were unfounded. Much preferred this type of accommodation to a hotel - much more flexible and private.
Fantastic apartment, really clean and close to the city centre! Ragga was really nice and she answered all of my questions within minutes. I would recommend all of my friends to stay here.
From the moment we booked this apartment, Ragga went above and beyond the expectations of a host - by providing us with detailed information of local amenities, in addition to working around our fluctuating travel schedule! With intermittent wifi, we arrived somewhat unannounced - with Ragga greeting us with no concern, just the warmest of welcomes.
The apartment is perfectly placed for city exploration, less than a 10 minute walk from the main shopping districts; and convenient for all public transport links. Tour hosts & transportation can easily find you by stopping at the nearby 'Hostel Village' - & on an evening, amenities are local enough to not appear daunting in -11 conditions.
Inside, there is all you need for any length of visit. Great heating, insulation, bed & bedding - hot shower... & even a washing machine. Cooking facilities are good enough to make basic meals & packed lunches.
We were at home whilst away, and lacked nothing during our stay.
Thank you once again, Ragga, for your kindness & attention - when Reykjavik next beckons, we WILL be back, for sure.

Location is good and close to bars and restaurants. It's also within walking distance of the bus station, so perfect for getting back to the airport. The flat itself is warm, inviting and cosy. Would definitely book this again.
The studio was very nice and Ragga is a nice helpful lady, I would like to stay there again when I return to this amazing Iceland.
