The lovely and spacious ARIOSTO BLUE STUDIO WITH BALCONY, fully renovated on Summer 2013, is in the heart of Rome, near the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and many other tourist sites such as Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and Basilica San Giovanni in Laterano.

It is in the pleasant residential Esquilino neighborhood, one of the seven hills of Rome, where you can appreciate the REAL roman way-of-life, and just a short walk from Termini train station, connected no-stop with both airports.

At walking distance there is a wide choice of restaurants, the oldest italian Gelato (Ice Cream) Factory is behind the corner, and many shops, groceries cafés and parks are nearby as well.

Besides being very convenient for walking towards many tourists spots, the apartment is ideally situated to use public transportation as it is only 100 meters from Manzoni Metro Station and lots of buses lines. It is just two metro stops to Termini station, 5 stops to Trevi's Fountain and 8 stops to (email hidden)ter (15' from home).

The apartment is in an early 1940's restored building, very elegant, safe and quiet, with common garden.

It's a charming, colorful and modern Studio, with living room, queen-size sofa bed with 20cm latex mattress, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower.
Furthermore, as a plus, we've an outdoor area equipped with table and chairs, where you can have your coffee or relax after visiting Rome.

The Neighborhood

Ok, probably you already noted on the map we're only a few blocks from Coliseum & Roman Forum, 10' walking or 2' by bus, and that's great ;)!

But another BIG value of our apartment is the METRO STATION AT THE CORNER.
Without any change, you will reach Trevi's fountain, Spanish Steps, Borghese' Villa or Vatican/St. Peter in LESS THAN 15'!!

The Main Train Station, TERMINI, connected no-stop with both airports, is just 2 Metro stops from this apartment, or 10' walking

Moreover, we stay VERY close (5' walking) to the second church of Rome: the magnificent St. John Basilica, and the third, St. Mary Basilica.
Remind not to miss them, it would be a pity!

A famous FLEA STREET MARKET, whit fashion clothes and accessories, is held all days in Via Sannio, 5' walking from here.

One of the most beautiful "hidden gem" of Rome, St. Clemente church of 13th Century, with an UNDERGROUND ROMAN TEMPLE, is a not-to-miss place, and it's on the way to Colosseum (just 10' walking) !

Last but not least, did you know that the oldest italian gelato (ice-cream) factory is behind the corner, and you can enjoy a yummy gelato for less than 2 euros ;) ?

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Excellent central location but just far enough off the tourist track to be surrounded by good local restaurants. Paolo provided good directions to local sights and arranged transport from the airport for us. The unit is as described and perfect for a short stay with everything you need - usually a few wines after touring the city all day. Thanks for a great introduction to Roma Paolo.

  • Great apartment, we loved it. Paolo and Melina are nice and they helped us a lot. I'm sure we'll come back.

    March 2014
  • Very clean and lovely studio in a convenient and quiet location. Our host was very helpful and gave us good advice. We had a lovely stay in Roma and definitely recommend this place, you won't be disappointed.

    March 2014
  • Fantastic little room in a great location too. Felt very safe behind numerous locked doors.
Just a short walk from metro and bus stops.
Our check in was absolutely fantastic! We didn't have a set plan of what we wanted to do in Rome and we were shown and map and given detailed recommendations on everything from food to methods of transport.
    Very much appreciated!

  • Paolo & Melina were out of town during our recent visit to Rome, however, we were met by Tove upon our arrival. Tove was a great host and clearly explained how everything worked in the apartment. She then spent a generous amount of time showing where everything is on a map of Rome and answering a few questions. This was definately very helpful.

The apartment is located in a very safe area with the Colloseum close by and only a 2-3 min walk to the Manzoni metro station or tram stop. Whilst there are some restaurants situated in the nearby streets, we found we had to walk 10-15 mins before getting more options. There are however plenty of cafes/bars so getting a coffee and croissant is as simple as can be!

The apartment itself was nice and clean but very small. Much smaller than what we thought from the pictures. There was only 2 of us but we kept getting in each others way every morning. The shower is also a bit cumbersome and for a larger person, could be a bit of a problem. But the cleanliness cannot be faulted and this was very important to us.

We had a fantastic time in Rome and this apartment will forever remain etched in our memories. We had a very pleasant time here and if there is anything we can suggest to make things better, it would be to add an iron and iron board.

  • The manzoni house was a great place to stay! It was very close (walking distance) to the colosseum and other major sites in Rome. The house has many basic necessities to cook and live in Rome in a clean place. Paolo was also a very nice and helpful host. I recommend staying here!

    January 2014
  • Perfect location! This place is a 10 minute walk to the Colosseum. Paolo made sure to explain where everything was. Nice apartment, everything we needed for our stay. Only downsides were pull out couch and spotty internet due to the fact it was a 3G wifi. Overall really good value for the price.

    December 2013
  • Definitely recommend! Paolo met me as promised at the flat. He gave me the run-down and then tips and advice on where to eat, where to rent a bike, what streets to avoid on the bike, etc. He spent more time than he needed to.

The flat itself was just as promised. Clean, cozy, not too large, but with all the needed amenities. It's served me very well for the 8 days I was there.

The Internet is 3G and not DSL so perhaps a tick slow, and there's no streaming of videos or large downloads possible. I was there to work on a picture book so that was a bit difficult. But I'm really have to dig hard to nitpick here. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and liked communicating and visiting with Paolo.

    Again, highly recommend!

  • Great stay at Paolo's studio. Apart' was clean, calm and well located near Coliseum and metro. WI-FI internet and DVD player was great additions too. Recommended !

    December 2013
  • The studio had everything we needed. It's 5 minutes walking from the Coliseum and in a very quiet area which is really nice when you try to sleep after being walking for a few hours! Tove was already in the apartment to give us the keys and gave us some useful recommendations to make the most of our trip. We asked for a late check out as we didn't need to be at the airport until late and Paolo accepted which was quite handy!. If you are going to stay in Rome for 2-3 days I would recommend staying here!
