The Space

Our Guest House provides a soothing and healing atmosphere where you can tailor your Hawaiian experience to exceed your expectations. We have a beautiful 7 acre organic/sustainable farm that offers a full spectrum of opportunities. You can choose to stay here and enjoy our space as a launching point for your Hawaiian vacation or choose from a variety of products and packages that we offer here on the farm for a more specific experience. Our farm is an ideal environment for singles, couples and families who want to meet others interested in community and conscious living and taking advantage of some of our educational and therapeutic offerings. Our space is also great for hosting intimate retreats or those who just want a private spacious retreat to themselves.

The Guest House has 3 Bdrms, 1 King, 1 Queen, 1 Double and a large sofa in the living room. There is a Teahouse Cottage just behind the guest house and retreat space that can be added to your stay for $99/night. It has a king bed and kitchenette. The yoga/meditation/workshop multi use retreat space is behind the house and can be added to your rental for exclusive use for an additional $50/night. There are yoga mats and meditation cushions available.

We also have two cottages in addition to the TeaHouse Cottage that are near the guest house that can be added to your rental as well. The Coffee Shack and the Tent Cottage. For more info on those you can check our other airbnb listings or visit Honaunau Farm, or just ask when you inquire.

In addition to all the farm offers, we are about 10 minutes from the ocean with great swimming, snorkeling and many other activities. We are located about 25 minutes south of Kailua Kona which has plentiful land and ocean based activities.

Guest Access

Guests are more then welcome to wander the farm and visit with the animals and community. We have milking goats, sheep, ducks, and chickens, as well as two loving dogs and 2 cats.

Interaction with Guests

We are very open to interacting with guests. We are more than happy to give you your space and also very open to saying hello and "talk story" as they say in Hawaii when we can. We are not always available to talk for a long time as the farm keeps us quite busy as does some travel, but no matter what we always love to meet and greet when we are home.

The Neighborhood

Our area is rich in its diversity of beaches, excellent snorkeling, proximity to the national parks as well as a great local grocery store and some good restaurants very near by.

Getting Around

The public transportation is poor here. The bus only loops the island on the main highway once or twice a day, so having a car is pretty essential for exploring and getting to the farm. Hitchhiking is not uncommon, but not ideal for reaching less traveled spots and getting about in a timely fashion, so we don't recommend it as your sole means of transportation.

Other Things to Note

We are an ecologically focused retreat on an island, so please be aware of your impact on the land and water during your stay and your potential to support the local economy versus larger corporate operations whose resources go elsewhere. We always encourage folks to shop local and explore what the authentic side of Hawaii can offer. There are many mom and pop businesses here and alot of farmers markets and fruit stands. Be mindful of the garbage you are producing and on the farm we ask folks to use non toxic, biodegradable personal products as well as composting and recycling.

House Rules
Check-in is after 3PM

We ask that you are aware of the resources used while on the farm and encourage the use of organic, non-toxic and biodegradeable products.

We ask that you please keep the noise before 8am and after 10:00pm to a minimum.

If you are not renting the entire house the kitchen may be shared with other guests staying with us, so please be respectful of this space.

Cigarette smoking is discouraged on the farm.

The farm will not be held responsible for any injury or loss, resulting on the land to you. If you get injured you must have insurance, and pay for any medical and other costs involved. Everyone should be careful and act safely. Again, if you are injured, it will be your sole responsibility medically and financially.

Our holistic farm and retreat is a place where we can engage with people and share in the abundance of a co-creative conscious lifestyle. We love meeting people from all over the world right here in our home. We enjoy engaging conversation about travel, spirituality, holistic living, healthy food and current affairs. We find people who use airbnb to be great guests and it is a pleasure to be a host in Hawaii because we have the opportunity to extend the magic and beauty of the island to all of them in unique ways. We love our life and we love to share it.
