We are a retired couple, originally mainlanders, who love living in Launceston, Tasmania, and enjoy still 'learning' and gardening. Its gives us great delight when visitors feel at home and happy to be here close to the river.
We have 2 rooms available this studio and a room in the house.
We stayed for three lovely nights in the studio. Rosa and David were warm and they made us part of the family. We enjoyed the spectacular views of the Tamar river, its bustling life and night lights from the dining room and balcony. The studio is well appointed, with attention to details such as the bowl of almonds and dates, and the tea & toast making facilities. Nearby up the hill is an awesome gourmet grocery shop, and we enjoyed the family state-of-the-arts kitchen for whipping up our breakfast. Down the hill is the Cataract Gorge - a small piece of swiss landscape with a lake and a swimming pool - perfect picnic spot. We had and awesome time in Launceston, no doubt thanks to our welcoming hosts. HIghly recommended!
Travelling as 2 couples you tend to only find entire apartments that will fit your needs on Airbnb. I'm glad through some creative Airbnb searching I found Rosa & David's little gem of a home - and that they could take all 4 of us. Trevallyn is a lovely part of Launceston and the place you want to be for a relaxing, picturesque stay. Whilst we only stayed overnight, we all really enjoyed coming back after dinner and sharing some conversation, the world's rarest chocolate and a glass of wine.
Rosa & David are the most generous and welcoming hosts, I have a splendid stay in Tasmania thanks to them. The house was very warm & clean, a must stay to anyone who's planning to stop by Launceston!
We had a great stay! Rosa & David were lovely hosts and made us instantly feel at home. We also enjoyed Jessie's (the dog's) company very much! The house is quite spacious and beautifully situated overlooking the river. We would stay with Rosa & David again anytime!
A beautiful setting and a cosy little apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Rosa.
Not only the studio but also their fire place, David´s red wine and Rosa´s turkey was really awesome. We had some really great talks at the fire place and enjoyed the fantastic view all over Launceston. This place is highly recommended. Thank you very much again for the beautiful muffins!
