Nice and cosy room in Zona Rosa

House - Private room · Oslo, Mexico City, Federal District 06600, Mexico

A beautiful and private room with a private bathroom next to it in a DANCE STUDIO. Very calm at night on weekdays. A bit noisy during the day (classes), so it's ideal for those who wish to visit the city during the day. We also have shows on weekends

The Space

We offer a nice and cozy room with a queen size bed. It has a nice private bathroom right next door.

The room is part of a big house working as a Cultural center. We offer FLAMENCO/CONTEMPORARY DANCE/ACTING/YOGA lessons (Hojas de te) You can check it out on our (website hidden) fanpage or the website with (website hidden).

We've been operating since January! so it's brand new!
The house has 4 dance studios, 1 store, 1 small cafeteria in the entrance and 2 office rooms (one for the center and one for my DESIGN STUDIO) . And a cool rooftop/modest terrace to hang out during the sunny days in Mexico.

I has no actual kitchen, but in the cafeteria we have a fridge, microwave, coffee machine and small oven to use freely.

The room we offer is mostly used to receive special guests for the Center, like dance teachers from abroad, etc.

It's THE ONLY BEDROOM in the house, so you would be the only one sleeping here.

During some weekends we organize small performing events in the upper level, such as flamenco nights, bohemian (music) nights, movie night, etc... All our guests are very welcome to assit.
Also to be aware that there's some movement of people in the house during those events.

Nina is an adorable black labrador who keeps us company every day, she lives with me. You'll love her.

It is a very well located house, in a small street, in the center of the city, zona rosa. One block away from Reforma Av., and very close to colonia Roma, colonia Condesa.
You will love staying here, it has so much life all day long.

There's a big mall just one block away, the metro station is 3 blocks away and the bus stop as well. Very good public connections.

  • We stayed here for three nights, and really enjoy! The locations is good: easy to connect to both historical central Mexico city and other side of Sevilla and Chapultepec. There are also lots of restaurants around the studio!

For me, the perfect thing is that this is a Flamenco studio, and they just hosted a great and famous dancer from Madrid. So we saw the performance as well! if you were flamenco lover, you would love here for sure! Thanks Adriana!

  • Adriana and the rest of the ladies at 'Hojas de Te' were very pleasant. There was always someone there to be accommodating and let you know what was going on inside the dance studio if that is your thing. There is a lot to check out around there as far as night life goes in Zona Rosa and there is Roma and Condesa not too far away. Chapultepec castle is my favorite place in the area with so much history! When I go back I'll look into getting an Ecobicci membership online because it seems to be a good way of getting around. Go check it all out for yourself. I think you'll find the same as I did.

  • The room at Hojas de Te was in a great location, an easy 5-10 min walk from the subway and with lots of stores and restaurants nearby. The area is full of activity, but the building is on a small street and is fairly quiet for a city.
Adriana welcomed us and showed us around the dance studios. The room itself was very nice with a comfy bed, a small sofa, a large closet, and a desk and chair. Right next to the bedroom was the large private bath, and nearby was the small refrigerator that we could use. We were given fluffy towels and filtered water on our
arrival. All the staff at the studio were helpful and Adriana's black
    lab, Nina, was sweet.
It is important to remember that the room is in a building that houses dance studios. In the mornings before anyone comes, you will have complete privacy. But once the studio classes and practices begin, there will be staff around and the noise of the dancers and their music until they leave, which may be as late as 10. If you are awake until after 10 PM, the noise won't interfere with your sleep. If you go to bed early, this might not be the place for you. (This is based on our experience over 3 nights, and there are not evening activities scheduled all nights.) However, we found that the great location, nice room, friendly staff, and low price were well worth the limited
privacy and noise we experienced. We enjoyed our stay.

  • Adriana was wonderful--one of the nicest Aribnb hosts I've ever had! The room is very comfortable and clean. There is some noise from the dance studio above, but it's a very quiet place to be after 11 or so at night and before noon or so each morning. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great deal in a central part of the city.

  • This is a clean and spacious room in a three-story dance studio run by some of the nicest people you will meet in DF. It's tucked away on a quiet street in the Zona Rosa, convenient for going out or exploring the city (a Metro stop is just a few blocks away). Two lovable labs will keep you company during the day (¡Hola Nina y Gordo!) Note that this is a working studio, so if you need to relax during the day I would plan around the dance classes (it can get a little noisy). But at night you have the place to yourself and will sleep like a baby. ¡Muchas gracias Hojas de Te!

  • Lovely stay! Very clean room, modern bath room, and there's also a comfy couch in the room! The studio has a good location in the middle of the action but on a smaller street right off the main street so you can sleep soundly. The bedroom is located on top of a studio but it feels very private, and there are some lovely girls at the front desk who helped us find a good place to eat. Only there one night, but it was an easy and seamless stay!

  • Hojas de Te is tucked in on a small, quiet street in the heart of the Zona Rosa. It's in a very charming and walkable part of the city, one that I felt very safe in despite not speaking any Spanish at all.

Adriana and the Hojas de Te team were very friendly and accommodating. I felt like I was very welcomed and respected during my entire stay. The room is very clean, the private bathroom wonderful, and the atmosphere very open. My friends, who rented a hotel room not too far away, were often over because they enjoyed it so much.

Adriana proved a gracious host. On my last day, I was supposed to leave my bags with friends while I got ready for a performance and—surprise surprise—they were sleeping when I called them and not picking up. Adriana let me keep my bags there even after I checked out. It's nice to know that you are in the presencei of another human being.

I definitely recommend this for travelers who like easy access to yummy tortas and tacos, gay bars, modes of transportations, cultural sights and artists. It's amazingly central to everything. For the traveling artist who has never been to DF, this might be the perfect way to get connected with the Mexican art community.

    Thanks Adriana and all! :-)

  • We had an awesome time staying with Adriana - her place is great, and the room is perfect. Location is ideal, we could walk everywhere. Everyone we met passing through Adriana's dance school was very friendly, and we met some great people. Nina the dog was also a highlight. Thanks for an awesome stay - we'll be back next time we're in town!
