SoMa's multifaceted character brings together all sorts of people. Tech-savvy entrepreneurs rub elbows with well-read bohemian types, and museum curators share the sidewalks with ill-groomed individuals. Hip bars, clubs, and specialty coffee cafes hide among SoMa’s increasing number of vacant industrial warehouses awaiting renovation. On game day, visitors to SoMa include those looking to hear the crack of the bat—this neighborhood is the home of the San Francisco Giants.

SOMA victorian is a very nice place to stay. The atmosphere in the house is always peaceful and friendly, the rooms are neat and well kept up and the hosts are ready to help you and make you feel at home. Even though Maria and Graham were never at home during my stay, one of their helping hands was always around. The blue room was comfortable and provided everything I needed, although natural light was rather scarce. The only real sore point was the neighbourhood. The street is nice and quiet, close to public transport and the city's attractions, but in order to get there you have to cross an entire neighbourhood packed with homeless people, beggars, drunkards & co. I don't know if it was actually dangerous, but it made me uncomfortable coming home at night and I took a taxi when I had to leave very early. Other peoplw may not mind this, but for me it was quite disturbing, even coming from New York City.
The room was very much as advertised, very comfortable and cozy. I was in town for a conference at the Moscone Center, and the location was very convenient and a pretty easy walk. The only downside was that the shared bathroom made coordinating showers in the morning difficult. Otherwise it's a great place - very clean and quiet.
Nice, clean place centrally located to downtown. Super easy check-in and check-out, I definitely would stay there again.
Great place to stay! Very quiet, neat and tidy, never had a problem with the shared bathroom, great location in SOMA felt safe walking around and easy to get to from Civic Centre BART (took BART from SFO), great cafe for breakfast just around the corner, very well looked after by Maria!
Maria was a very good host! She was accommodating to my friend and I, who visited for the weekend. The place was super clean, very spacious and in a good location! Everything was super easy from start to finish, would definitely recommend!
I had a good experience staying with Maria and Graham. The apartment and room were very clean and their directions were well written. I came late and left early so I didn't get a chance to meet them, but everything was as described.
