The Space

Here in El Va El Vien house, where I live, in a very quiet area just 5 minutes near Accademia bridge and two minutes far from Zattere, two double spacious bedrooms (extra bed on request), fully furnished with linen and towels, can accomodate single guest or families.
There is a bathroom with shower shared by the guests.
In your rooms you can also find WiFi, dvds ,lot of books, no tv (you are in Venice it's not necessary).
Kids are more than welcome and don't pay till 8 years old.
In the morning at the upstair floor a large breakfast is served. Just nearby there are several fun cafes, good locals "osteria" and restaurants where you can try the real home cooking! Remember to wear confy shoes and be ready for long walks in Venice 'cause there is too much to see!

  • The location of the apartment was great - not too near the tourist traps, with some good cheap local food. The breakfast provided was delicious and absolutely enormous, more than enough to get you through the entire day.

The room was also massive, more than enough for what I needed. Camilla was great to talk to, and will happily share local places to see.

  • My (email hidden) El Vien" was great. Camilla was very welcoming and the room was super comfortable. The location is perfect... quiet, a bit off the beaten path but not far from transportation and sites. It was quite nice having coffee and breakfast in the morning. I would return.

  • My girlfriend and I recently stayed at Camillas apartment for 3 nights and we were thoroughly impressed.

Camilla is a friendly and helpful host. She has good English and made us feel very welcome from the moment we got there.

The room was large and light, with two big windows overlooking a beautiful narrow canal. The bed was comfy and the room had plenty of wardrobe and drawer space should you need it. The bathroom was tidy and clean and the shower was great. Breakfast was equally good, giving you a wide choice.

The location of the apartment was absolutely perfect for us - not too touristy but easy to reach all the main sights via foot.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Camillas. She was a lovely host and the room was great. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

On another note, I was also very impressed with the service from Airbnb. The whole process was very efficient, booking was completely painless and they even send you a full itinerary (including useful numbers and a map) in advance of your trip. Well done guys - keep it up.

  • Camilla was a perfect host. She met me, gave me a brief tour, handed me the keys and then left me to come and go as I pleased. She had a lovely breakfast ready for me each morning (from 8:30am) and always greeted me with a smile.

The bed was big and comfy and the house is in a good location. Quiet at night but very close to some decent (email hidden) area, a supermarket and several useful water bus stops.

I won't pretend I didn't "take the scenic route" (ahem!) on my first day staying here but, once I got used to navigating the canals and using the tourist directions painted on most street corners, generally I walked everywhere. It was 15 mins to San Marco Square and a little further to the Rialto Bridge.

I'd happily stay at Camilla's again.

  • Camilla is a great host and very nice person, she gave me some very good advises about the city. I was really impressed by the room, it's really large and well furnished with a great view on the Chanel. VERY good location, close to everything!!! So, highly recommended!!!

  • Camilla was a wonderful host and El Va El Vien is a peaceful haven away from the busy touristy business of Venice. I felt welcomed into Camilla's home, but had a sense of utter privacy. The room was gorgeous, overlooking the peaceful canal and is furnished with Venician antiques, a very comfortable bed, some lovely artworks with books to peruse and lots of interesting information. The house has lovely touches throughout. Breakfast was a veritable feast of fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt, home baked cakes, juice and great coffee in a lovely space with big windows overlooking greenery and some wonderful Venetian architecture. Camilla was very helpful in answering my questions, is a generous and giving person. The location is fabulous, accessible either by a 15 minute walk to San Marco or serviced by two different vaporetto stops. The neighbourhood is interesting with some wonderful dining options. It was a pleasure to stay here and I hope to return.

  • Camilla's place was a great place to stay while in Venice! The building is on a quiet street in the southern part of the city but everything is easily walkable. Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet. Camilla's breakfast was also excellent!

  • Camilla and her sister were both nice and helpful. I enjoyed my stay and wish I
was able to stay a third day but they were booked.
