This used to be my meditation room and now it is another bedroom. It is very quiet and peaceful.
Lovely streamlined room simply furnished with a lovely sleigh bed and mix of classic and comfort. It is upstairs in the back of the house. It is quiet and peaceful. There is a bathroom right below. There is a very comfortable full/ double bed. We love comfort in this house. The bed is dressed with high quality 400 thread count linens. There is a dresser, chair, clothing rack, and a towel rack with towels for you to use. Also a TV with Roku player. Wireless wifi is throughout the house.
There are many shops, restaurants and cafe's within a 3 mile perimeter. A CVS and Walgreens 1 block away. It is a very nice residential area filled with large lovely homes, pretty gardens and the house is 2 blocks from the river.
15 minutes from TF Green Airport.
2 buses stop within 2 blocks.
The area has been approved for historical status!
Use of the washer dryer is available for extended stays only.
There is one very quiet small dog in the house. He is more like a little cat.

This is a very quiet and lovely house. Everyone who comes here has had a lovely time. I have been told by many guests that it is hard to leave. I have had it referred to as the healing house.

Have stayed with Wendy many times when I visit Providence, and she has become a good friend of mine. As always, a large, clean, private space with a very comfortable bed, space heater, and your own shower. Very reasonably priced for the room, a quiet neighborhood, good for a run or bike, and just a 5-10 minute drive to downtown Providence. Highly recommended.
Wendy’s place was ideal for us. A very comfortable and private suite of bedroom, sitting room, and bathroom on the first floor of her classic Providence house. Wendy is very accommodating and was happy to have our dog Bella stay with us. She offered coffee (and post-Thanksgiving muffins) in the morning and is a good source of local information. (I’d recommend JP Spoonem’s for a tasty, hearty breakfast.)
We could come and go without disturbing her, which we appreciated as we were in and out a few times each day.
Wendy is a wonderful hostess. The room was peaceful and the bed comfortable. Access to the kitchen and parking was greatly appreciated. The location was perfect for my needs as I was working at one of the hospitals in Providence. Overall, great stay. Highly recommended !!
We truly enjoyed our stay at Wendy's beautiful home! It felt super private cause you can turn right into a living area which leads to the bedroom immediately upon entering the home. Wendy was incredibly helpful and quite the comedian. She was the kinda person you feel you've known forever. She even helped us out a couple of times with a ride to the train station and the airport. I'd say the ONLY downside to the home is that it's in the burbs so it's about a 4 mile walk to downtown, though only a mile walk to the historical Pawtucket village, which is super adorable. We didn't take advantage of buses, but we did see quite a few stops around her home so I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to get downtown. Either way, I would definitely consider staying at Wendy's again. It was clean, quiet and beautiful. Only suggestion would be to make sure you note the exact location of the home with a smart phone or tablet cause there are two streets with similar names in the city and it's no fun trying to figure out which one is right when it's late in the night!
Very good stay at a lovely victorian house conveniently located. We loved our room with 13 windows too! Very clean and comfortable. Wendy was a nice host with suggestions when we needed them. We appreciated being able to make tea in the kitchen and re-freeze our icepacks too. Would happily go back and stay there again.
Wendy was an absolutely fantastic host. She kept her house super tidy and made sure that we had all of the comforts possible - did we need towels? Blankets? An AC unit?
Also, Wendy's super nice - she's someone that is incredibly easy to get along with and talk to. She's full of restaurant recommendations and is up-to-date on all of the hip happenings around Providence.
I have stayed with Wendy several times now and cannot recommend her more highly as a host. She provides a large, clean, affordable room with a particularly comfortable mattress, a large, private living room attached to that with your own private bath and shower off to the side. Free rein of the large porch and common kitchen area. A quiet neighborhood with a lot of wide, well-paved roads, so perfect for a run or bike ride, but only a 10 minute drive to downtown Providence to enjoy the city goodies. Wendy herself is always a gracious host who has become a good friend of mine. I have also seen her interact with others enough to surmise that she can get along with a lot of different personalities very smoothly, allowing her to meet the needs of just about any guest out there, whether you want to enjoy a chat or just do your thing, hang out at the house or get good suggestions about places to visit in the area.
Wendy was a delightful host. She was friendly, generous, and charismatic. She went out of her way to show us around the city and even picked us up when we were stuck out in the rain. All that, and the bedroom that we stayed in was beautiful and private as well. If you're going to Providence, don't hesitate to stay at Wendy's house--she is wonderful, and her dog is awesome, too. :)
Another note: for those who are visiting Providence without a car, know that the bus service is pretty reliable and stops just a block away from her house.
Wendy's home was a welcoming place to stay at. We loved her house and the sunny room we had. With it's own private bath and living room, there was nothing more we could ask for. The place is perfectly located to explore Providence or Newport!
Had a nice 2 night stay at Wendy's charming house. It is in a great historic neighborhood near Providence. The bed in my room was especially soft and comfortable so I was well rested to explore the area. Also enjoyed time visiting with Wendy and the other house guests.
