Amazing luxury apartment in Downtown Brooklyn! Only one subway stop away from Manhattan, making it the ideal location for your next vacation as you can experience all Brooklyn (BK) has to offer whilst having easy access to Manhattan. In BK there are hundreds of delectable eateries and all of the shopping venues and boutiques you can handle. Visit the famed Brooklyn Public Library, Prospect Park or Astroland while exploring the endless things to do in the city by hopping on one of the five different subway lines that are within short walking distance. The good news is if you want the convenience of a taxi just step out the front door and there are yellow cabs 24/7.
The apartment and building has a wide range of amenities including:
• 2,000 sq.ft. State-of-the-Art Fitness Center with Cardio Theater
• stylish resident lounge with pool table
• floor to ceiling windows
• Washer/Dryer in the apartment
There is a supermarket literally across the road as well as other options in on neighbouring streets should you wish to cook meals in the fully equipped kitchen. Alternatively dine at various restaurants minutes away, to include casual eats at Palmer’s, which is located in the building, or brunch at Soco’s up the road or at the famous Peter Luger Steakhouse that has been rated No. 1 New York Steakhouse 24 years in a row.
The apartment is very close to Fort Greene Park, where you can indulge in fresh produce from the Farmer’s Market on Saturdays or use the tennis courts and other facilities. In addition, take a walk to the renowned Brooklyn Bridge and take in the beautiful city skyline. Sports enthusiasts can catch up with the Brooklyn Nets, but everyone can enjoy the shows and dining options at the newly constructed Barclay Center, which is walking distance or one stop on the subway.
You have access to the gym on the ground floor and the building's common room (with a pool table). There are guest services such as dry cleaning and maid services that can be arranged for an additional cost.
Interaction with Guests
I interact with my guests as and when they need me. I take pride in responding quickly and ensuring that they are comfortable before and during their stay.
I love Brooklyn because there is a community feel as everyone is pleasant yet it is so easy to get to Manhattan so you don't feel out of the action.
As mentioned the apartment is a very short walk from Dekalb Station with Q, R, and B line, Jay St- MetroTech with A, C, F and R lines, and Hoyt St with 2 and 3 lines. A short walk will get you to Nevins with the 4 and 6 lines. The apartment is located just as you get off the Manhattan Bridge and as a result there are always taxis available as soon as you step out of the building. In addition there is parking available on the street or in the building's basement for an additional cost.
Please treat my home like your own and leave it as you found it. Please refrain from smoking in the apartment. I ask that you leave all shoes at the entrance ( a shoe rack is provided) as a clean home is more pleasant for everyone. There are cleaning products provided for you so that you can clean after yourselves. Also, my apartment has plenty of storage; in the bedroom there is a closet and chest of drawers, in the bathroom the mirrors open to give you cupboard space and there is storage available in the cupboard by the entrance. I ask that the one cupboard next to the bathroom remain closed and unused.
The apt was nice and clean and we enjoyed the amenities. Internet was reliable and I got a lot of work done from the big comfortable couch. Our only problem was trying to contact April in the days leading up to the trip, but after we heard back from her everything else worked out fine.
April's place was great. The location was perfect. Close enough to work, friends and all the spots you want to head in Brooklyn. The apartment was exactly how she described me. If it was available again, I would come back for a second stay!
We loved staying in April's apartment. This apartment is cozy and comfortable. The location is very convenient to subways, shopping, great parks. It is also just a short walk to the Brooklyn or Manhattan Bridges. There is also a great coffee shop that becomes a hip bar in the evening right downstairs. A half block away is an excellent brick oven pizza place. April is an attentive host who communicates promptly. We loved the "no shoes" policy! I would like to stay here again.
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at April's place. The location was excellent and the facilities the same. We made great use of the gym facilities and the staff at the apartment were friendly and cooperative. The apartment itself was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed to be at home.
April was very accommodating and addressed the few questions we had with alacrity. She was a wonderful host.
A wonderful stay that we would highly recommend!
April was very helpful and kind whenever I needed to ask questions. Location was perfect; easy access to subway, bus, even easy to get a cab.
My sister and I loved exploring Brooklyn and April's comfortable apartment is perfect. Famous Junior's restaurant is a few steps away. Brooklyn bridge a few minutes walk. It was cold during our stay and it was awesome to always come home to a comfortable, warm and very lovely apartment.
We would definitely come back and if on Brooklyn, we would undoubtedly book here again.
Thank you April.
El apartamento en general estaba bien. Aunque NO es de lujo es cómodo.
La TV es MUY pequeña.
Lo que debe mejorar es la limpieza. Cambiar la cortina de la ducha es MUY necesario.

About the Host, April
I am organising an international Supper Club called Savour Jamaica as I am passionate about my country and food. I have lived in England, Jamaica and France but I love living in Brooklyn because the people are friendly and there are countless eateries. I love to cook (you can check out my blog, The Yummy Truth), travel and read memoirs. Other than Jamaican cuisine I have a soft spot for pasta and foie gras, my favourite wine is a German Riesling, so if you need any advice on where to dine in Brooklyn or Manhattan I'd be happy to help.
I have travelled quite extensively and I appreciate that meeting great people, seeing interesting things that you can't find in tourist books and eating great food contributes to a memorable holiday, which I know you can experience while staying at my home.
I believe everything happens for a reason and I look forward to helping you enjoy your stay when you next visit NYC or London or Kingston!
