This new apartment is in a great location with access to 10 subway lines, it is near Brooklyn Bridge and only one stop from Manhattan. Enjoy a gourmet kitchen, washer and dryer, and great gym facilities, whilst being in a great neighbourhood.
Amazing luxury apartment in Downtown Brooklyn! Only one subway stop away from Manhattan, making it the ideal location for your next vacation as you can experience all Brooklyn (BK) has to offer whilst having easy access to Manhattan. In BK there are hundreds of delectable eateries and all of the shopping venues and boutiques you can handle. Visit the famed Brooklyn Public Library, Prospect Park or Astroland while exploring the endless things to do in the city by hopping on one of the five different subway lines that are within short walking distance. The good news is if you want the convenience of a taxi just step out the front door and there are yellow cabs 24/7.
The apartment and building has a wide range of amenities including:
• 2,000 sq.ft. State-of-the-Art Fitness Center with Cardio Theater
• stylish resident lounge with pool table
• floor to ceiling windows
• Washer/Dryer in the apartment
There is a supermarket literally across the road as well as other options in on neighbouring streets should you wish to cook meals in the fully equipped kitchen. Alternatively dine at various restaurants minutes away, to include casual eats at Palmer’s, which is located in the building, or brunch at Soco’s up the road or at the famous Peter Luger Steakhouse that has been rated No. 1 New York Steakhouse 24 years in a row.
The apartment is very close to Fort Greene Park, where you can indulge in fresh produce from the Farmer’s Market on Saturdays or use the tennis courts and other facilities. In addition, take a walk to the renowned Brooklyn Bridge and take in the beautiful city skyline. Sports enthusiasts can catch up with the Brooklyn Nets, but everyone can enjoy the shows and dining options at the newly constructed Barclay Center, which is walking distance or one stop on the subway.
You have access to the gym on the ground floor and the building's common room (with a pool table). There are guest services such as dry cleaning and maid services that can be arranged for an additional cost.
Interaction with Guests
I interact with my guests as and when they need me. I take pride in responding quickly and ensuring that they are comfortable before and during their stay.
I love Brooklyn because there is a community feel as everyone is pleasant yet it is so easy to get to Manhattan so you don't feel out of the action.
As mentioned the apartment is a very short walk from Dekalb Station with Q, R, and B line, Jay St- MetroTech with A, C, F and R lines, and Hoyt St with 2 and 3 lines. A short walk will get you to Nevins with the 4 and 6 lines. The apartment is located just as you get off the Manhattan Bridge and as a result there are always taxis available as soon as you step out of the building. In addition there is parking available on the street or in the building's basement for an additional cost.
Please treat my home like your own and leave it as you found it. Please refrain from smoking in the apartment. I ask that you leave all shoes at the entrance ( a shoe rack is provided) as a clean home is more pleasant for everyone. There are cleaning products provided for you so that you can clean after yourselves. Also, my apartment has plenty of storage; in the bedroom there is a closet and chest of drawers, in the bathroom the mirrors open to give you cupboard space and there is storage available in the cupboard by the entrance. I ask that the one cupboard next to the bathroom remain closed and unused.
April was very helpful and kind whenever I needed to ask questions. Location was perfect; easy access to subway, bus, even easy to get a cab.
My sister and I loved exploring Brooklyn and April's comfortable apartment is perfect. Famous Junior's restaurant is a few steps away. Brooklyn bridge a few minutes walk. It was cold during our stay and it was awesome to always come home to a comfortable, warm and very lovely apartment.
We would definitely come back and if on Brooklyn, we would undoubtedly book here again.
Thank you April.
The apartment was clean (apart from a dirty shower curtain), beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay! It is modern, yet cosy and very comfortable. It is situated in a very nice building, next to a great food market and close to many subway stations and lines. This was our first time in NY and we loved how easy it was getting to anywhere in Manhattan or Brooklyn with no more than a 5min walk from the apartment. April was a great host. She always responded to our messages within minutes and even accomodated for a late checkout without asking for extra money. We would definately stay there again.
April’s apartment is perfectly situated at the heart of Brooklyn. It’s not just close to numerous transit options, it also saved me lots of trouble from train transfer. I can easily walk 7 minutes to the F local train, which takes me straight to Manhattan’s hotspots all the way from Lower East Side, Soho, West Village, Herald Sq, Rockefeller Plaza, 5th Ave, and then the Upper East Side. It’s also a 5 minutes walk from the Q express train that takes me straight to Soho and Chinatown in a flash. It’s also in pleasant walking distance to Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn Bridge, and the magnificent Barclay Center, home of the Brooklyn Nets NBA team and headliner concerts.
There’re also a few grocery options around: NYC Fresh Market with organic foods is just right next to the building; CVS Pharmacy is a 3 minutes walk down Myrtle Ave; there are also many cafes and small restaurants on Myrtle Promenade by MetroTech. I love getting coffee at La Defense. There’s also an authentic Italian Pizzeria (Forno Rosso) right next door to the building. I am so glad that I no longer have to line up at Grimaldi’s.
The apartment is inside a newly built luxury building with a friendly concierge (doorman) downstairs. The elevator has really saved me lots of trouble because I travel with big luggages. There’s also a green space right in front of the building that provides a pleasurable serenity after a long day of touring through the hustle and bustle of the city (Manhattan). This one bedroom space is spacious according to NYC standards; I wish to call it home. It is very clean, well-equipped with everything I need, and exactly as shown in the photos. The bed is very comfortable and allows me to rest well every night. The interior is also tastefully decorated but not too lived in. April’s wonderful collection of art and books has also brought life into the space.
April is a very experienced Airbnb host. Her communication with guests and attentiveness excels over my previous experience at the W Hotel Midtown. Whether it was a very minor wifi problem or an air-conditioning issue, she takes care of them immediately and I didn’t feel a slight sense of inconvenience. She is also very polite and courteous to guests. It was such a pity that I couldn’t meet her in person, but the check-in & check-out process was smooth and with ease.
This apartment is definitely popular and I was glad to have rearranged my travel dates to have stayed there. My month-long stay there was fantastic. I would wish to stay there again in my future visits and will definitely recommend it to all my friends.
April made me feel very welcome. She was very prompt with responding to all of my questions. The Neighborhood was great. Right across the street was a grocery store. It was very close to multiple subway stations as well as both the Manhattan bridge and the Brooklyn bridge. Aprils apartment was exactly as described. My one complaint was that some of the dishes were not clean, and the apartment overall did not appear to have been cleaned before I arrived. Other than that I had a great stay. I would definitely stay in Aprils apartment again!

I am organising an international Supper Club called Savour Jamaica as I am passionate about my country and food. I have lived in England, Jamaica and France but I love living in Brooklyn because the people are friendly and there are countless eateries. I love to cook (you can check out my blog, The Yummy Truth), travel and read memoirs. Other than Jamaican cuisine I have a soft spot for pasta and foie gras, my favourite wine is a German Riesling, so if you need any advice on where to dine in Brooklyn or Manhattan I'd be happy to help.
I have travelled quite extensively and I appreciate that meeting great people, seeing interesting things that you can't find in tourist books and eating great food contributes to a memorable holiday, which I know you can experience while staying at my home.
I believe everything happens for a reason and I look forward to helping you enjoy your stay when you next visit NYC or London or Kingston!
