  • We enjoyed our stay at the Roost during our visit to Savannah. It was clean, quiet & comfortable. Conveniently located near the park, historic districts & restaurants, the area was safe and a great place to enjoy such a lovely city.

  • We had a wonderful stay at the Roost. It was everything promised in the profile. It was a short walk to downtown and Forsyth Park. There is a food store a few blocks away. We look forward to staying at the Roost during future trips to Savannah.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights and wish we could have stayed longer! We loved everything about the cottage, from the location to the eclectic decor and comfy living space -- not to mention the incredible kitchen! I would definitely recommend the cottage for any traveling couple looking for a fun and relaxing getaway! Laurie was also so accommodating and helpful and helped make our stay easy and stress free. We will definitely stay here every time we travel to Savannah!!!

  • We had a lovely stay at the Roost. It was an easy 1-11/2 mile walk to the historic district and fun to walk through the park each way. The apartment is lovely and with the natural food store nearby as well as a Kroger's, grocery shopping was easy. I would highly recommend this spot. We didn't have a car so good walking shoes were essential but there was easy parking on the street for those who bring a car. Savannah is lovely in April! Such a treat for New Englanders tired of the winter !

  • My wife and I stayed here for our first anniversary and we had a lot of fun. The kitchen is beautiful, I wish we'd had more time to cook in it!

It's a bit of a walk to most of the things in downtown Savannah, but there are a lot of beautiful and fun places to pass by on your way there so it's very pleasant. It's also super close Forsyth park which is a beautiful place to walk around.

The cottage was great. We didn't spend a TON of time there since we were out exploring the city :) but we loved the moments we spent there!

The neighborhood is fairly nice. Everyone we ran into around us was very friendly. We didn't encounter any sort of unsavory characters that might make us worry about our safety. There were some loud folks walking around at night on occasion, but other than that it was fantastic.

  • We had a great trip to Savannah and really enjoyed the The Roost! There are several really good restaurants within short walking distance (Narobia's and Blowing Smoke to name a couple) - and downtown is a beautiful one mile walk through the heart of Savannah. Staying in a neighborhood (rather than hotel) is such a rich experience and The Roost delivers. It was warm enough to sit outside on the front porch and play scrabble on the afternoon it rained. We totally enjoyed our stay and would definately recommend the Roost to others visiting Savannah.

  • This was a great spot for us. We had two big poodles that enjoyed the neighborhood and the small fenced yard made it convenient for the dogs. Laurie is an excellent communicator and the property is well located for walking to restaurants, the big park, and the historic district. Property was well equipped and comfortable.

  • My fiancee and I (I proposed to her right in the kitchen you see in the pictures!) stayed at the roost over our vacation in Savannah a few weeks ago. The space is set up perfectly and we had no complaints whatsoever. Laurie was very helpful through the booking process and quickly answered the few questions we had on the first day we arrived. The location is about a minute and a half walk to the Kroger for groceries and toiletries and about three minutes to the closest liquor store (Kroger only sells beer and wine). There's a bus stop that takes you right into town one street over and the free shuttle service is only about a five minute walk. We only utilized these on the first two days as it was about 36 degrees out. For the rest of the week, the weather was perfect and we loved strolling through Forsyth Park on the way to town, marveling at the amazing architecture and natural beauty that Savannah has to offer. We strongly recommend the roost and would absolutely stay here again on our way back through Savannah.

  • The Roost was perfect for our long weekend in Savannah! I couldn't have been happier with the apartment. Cozy, cute, great kitchen set up. The location was perfect for us, and we had easy access to some great new restaurants in mid-city. I took a yoga class at the Yoga Center, about 5 minutes away. We will definitely be recommending this spot to friends who are traveling to Savannah.

  • What a beautiful and charming place! We loved our stay at the Roost. The location was great and within walking distance to Forsyth Park (which conveniently and beautifully led to the downtown area). The apartment had everything we needed and Laurie was very quick to offer suggestions when we asked. Overall a great stay. Thanks Laurie!!
