Elegant apartment located in the heart of Ortigia via Zummo, about 100 meters from the Duomo and arround 300 m to Bellomo Gallery.
The location is ideal for visiting the historic center allowing you to walk to the main attractions available.
The recently renovated apartment is composed of a large entrance hall with kitchenette, a bright living room with double sofa bed, a double bedroom with bathroom and walk-in closet.
The apartment is furnished with antique furniture, rooms are air conditioned and there is free wifi.
Decoro e rispetto del contesto molto tranquillo ed elegante.
Such a beautiful apartment and kind and intelligent host. Mariella directed us to the best art, bars and restaurants in town. Her apartment is gorgeous and clean, in an ancient building. Such a fun night, highly recommended!
The flat is lovely, light and spacious (south facing). Ortigia is a small area so the flat is very well located just out the way next to a beautiful view and mini-beach. The flat has four balconies, there weren’t photos of these but one has table and chairs for 2 and is lovely in the morning and afternoon. There is a small shop just down from the flat which has meat, cheese, other household goods and fresh bread from 10am.
The bedroom is great with a walk-in wardrobe stocked with lots of fresh towels and flannels of all shapes and sizes, en-suite with an extra-large good-pressure shower.
We didn’t manage to get the coffee machine working perfectly and the kitchen crockery could do with some updating/attention but for basic meals it is all there.
Additional to Maria’s list of local eateries, Trattoria La Foglia was so close, delicious and friendly we ate there twice in 5 days.
If going at Easter albeit it bright and warm, take a jumper for the wind!
We stayed 2 wonderful nights at Mariella's and Milko's exquisitely decorated and refurbished flat! The ladder welcomed us personnally and warmyl and gave us some precious hints on where to eat and what to see in the romantically barroque Syracusa.
The flat is just one corner to the delicious eastern lungomare, i.e. the beautiful street circling the peninsula and facing the magnificent sea.
It is very quiet and light, but at the same time right in the core of Syracusa's particular atmosphere.
We definitely would recommend this place!
The apartment was as described and was spacious, bright and clean. The location is fabulous, close to the sea and the main area and there are so many good cafes and restaurants. We didn't meet our hosts but were shown to the apartment by a very helpful lady. We had a small problem on the first day but this was quickly resolved.
We had a wonderful time in Ortigia and at the beautiful appartement, which is just 5 steps away from the waterside, where you can go for a swim. Milko, Mariellas husband welcomed us and took us to the best market place we've been for years. We received the best introduction to the city you can wish for. We will definitely come back!
Mariella e Mirko sono stati gentilissimi. L'appartamento è davvero molto bello, elegante, luminoso, silenzioso, ben arredato, accogliente e ben posizionato. Ottimo anche per dei soggiorni di puro relax. Si trova in un bellissimo palazzo storico al centro di Ortigia. Cura dei dettagli e massima pulizia completano la descrizione.
Siamo stati ospiti in pieno inverno e l'appartamento è risultato ben riscaldato e confortevole (fare attenzione soltanto all'uso dell'acqua calda, in quanto è prodotta da uno scaldabagno elettrico non posizionato all'interno dell'appartamento).
The location is excellent and the apartment is very dressy. Mariella was very kind and gave us lots of useful information. The position is ideal for visiting the beautiful Ortigia.
