Bright, large, clean, and comfortable bedroom in a lovely Capital Hill home. Our third stay with Heather and it gets better all the time.

Heathers place was in a great spot. We brought our bikes and we're able to ride everywhere we wanted to. We also walked to dinner one night close by. Heather was nice enough to let us bring our bikes inside vs leaving them out all night. One thing is (as it states in the listing) is you share a bathroom with the other couple staying. One morning we had to leave to use the bathroom since it was being occupied for an hour. The room was bright and clean.

Heather's place was awesome! We loved the room (possibly our favorite stay anywhere), it's huge and is finished in a way that is perfectly comfortable for two travelers. The area is gorgeous and street parking was relatively easy. It was also super convenient to have a punch code entry to the house so that we could check in whenever. Heather is very nice and we also loved the cat! Would definitely stay again!

Heather's home was absolutely breathtaking and she was so welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. She was able to make our visit sweet and fun between helping when we were looking for the house salt and also leaving us a typed welcome note. The space as a whole was so beautiful to be in. We had an awesome stay and would absolutely recommend it!

My wife and I have stayed in Heather's place twice now, and hoping for more opportunities to book in the future.

We loved staying here. The location was easy to get to and from. The room and furnishings were so comfortable. I loved the bookcase full of books. We had no time to read them but it added to the atmosphere. But most importantly Heather kept a pitcher of filtered water on the nightstand that we were welcome to refill in the kitchen below. I was such a thirsty guest and the previous o airbnb only provided one small bottle. It's the simple extras that count! Heather was friendly and had a very simple check in procedure. I would stay here again and again.

Great room in a beautiful house in a nice neighborhood. Very close to the Capitol and near restaurant and bars. Only negative is limited street parking but if you planning on using Uber or taxis for transport then you'll be just fine. The host was very welcoming as well. Highly recommend this spot!

Response from Heather:
RE: Parking — thank you for pointing that out. My street (like most in DC) gets full of cars in the evenings. During the day its usually no problem to find a space within a block, but after 6pm you might have to park a block or two away.

I am an acupuncturist who has lived in New Hampshire, Oregon, California, Hawaii, Australia and Brazil, and who after quite a number of years here is still surprised to find myself living in Washington DC. I love my Capitol Hill neighborhood because it has a community feel with wide, treelined streets along with the advantages of the city -- metro, shops, restaurants, and parks.
