Looking for a clean, cute and affordable room, located in the heart of historic Lisbon?
Here you have! Right in the heart of Bairro (website hidden) is your chance to experience the city, from a locals point of view!
And, once you get here, you'll see why this is one of the best locations to stay in Lisbon.
If you plan to visit other nice/typical districts in Lisbon, which I hope you do, there are several types of public transportation really close. For instance, the TRAM 28, the Baixa-Chiado subway, several buses, taxis, and the trains to Cascais and Sintra.
The triangle Bairro Alto/Bica/Santa Catarina is one of the most famous bohemian and historic areas in Lisbon. 499 years of history, already!
It is the king of the night-life scene.
Here you will find cultural venues, restaurants, bars, dancing and singing clubs, trendy shops, and, of course, Fado (the traditional Portuguese song) - which was recently classified as world heritage, by UNESCO .
During the day, the district is totally different.
A traditional neighborhood, with the locals playing cards or chatting at the window or next door groceries, while tourists and other people from Lisbon and abroad visit art galleries & book and music shops.
Camões Square: 400m;
Chiado Square: 500m;
Rossio Square: 750m;
Comércio Square: 1.3km;
S. Jorge Castle: 1.8km;
Botanical Garden: 800m;
Baixa-Chiado subway: 400m (5m walk)
Bus/Tram 28: 100m
Airport: just 15 m away.
The best thing is to take a taxi, costs around 12/15euros.
There are also some buses available, and the metro.
If you hire a car, you must bear in mind that the flat is located in a historic neighborhood, and restricted traffic street, so it is not possible to park at the door.
Nevertheless, there's a public parking 50meters away.
It is not so cheap, costs around 15/day.
Clean towels, and sheets are provided.
I stayed in Lisbon with Isabel for three days. Her apartment is located in the part of Lisbon, bairro alto, with many restaurants, bars and shops very close by. Perfect for a late night meal or drink, just around the corner at the end of the night. As well as. Little bakey and market across the street.
The apartment was cozy, cute and personal. She made me feel welcome immediately and I enjoyed our long chats. She is a very nice woman and easy to get along with.
This was a great play to stay in Lisbon!
The apartment is great, is located in the best neighborhood of Lisbon, with plenty of pubs, full of life, otherwise isn't noisy, and it's very comfortable.
The hoster is very kind, and always is offering you help with the best restaurant, or any information.
Very recommend to the users of Airbnb.
Thanks for everything Isabel.

Our stay in Lisbonne at isabel's place was awsome!! the apartment is quite, very cute and perfectly located. Near for good neighborhood and perfect to enjoy nights and party
Isabel was very hepful and friendly!
Everything was perfect, Isabel is a great host, it was a real pleasure to meet her and share her apartment. Her place is the same as in the photos, the street "rua da rosa" is quiet day and night and the location is perfect to visit the all city. Plus if you want to go out in the evening there is a lot of restaurants and pubs in the Bairro alto. So if you want to go to Lisboa, i recommend Isabel for sure!
PS: If you are from France, you have to notice that Isabel understand very well the french ( like a lot of portuguese people)!
Isabel was a very friendly, casual and inviting host. She was respectful with our privacy and answered all our questions, silly or not.
The apartment is gorgeous, light and airy with a few nice personal bits and pieces around which made it feel like a real home. Gorgeous tiny but sunny balcony overlooking street action. Fantastic view from the bathroom window. Apartment is on the 3rd floor so it gets a lovely breeze in the afternoon.
Location was fantastic, no more than 15 min to ALL sights including Belem and the Oceanarium. 10min walk to Praca do Comercio, 5 min to Chiado and Bica. There is a stunning miradouro (viewing area) of the Castelo Sao Jorge, Se and surrounds 1 street away.There is a few "corner" stores and a bakery literally opposite the front door. Cute boutique shops and plenty of night vibe.
The apartment is in a great location- right in the middle of Bairro Alto which was definitely one of our favourite bits of Lisbon. It is also within walking distance of most the places you'd want to visit and perfect for public transport!
Everything was very clean and cosy, looks just as in the photos.
Isabel was a gracious host, always happy to give tips and recommendations and we were glad to have met her. Recommended!
