The space
Greetings, we hope you choose to vacation here and enjoy the area as much as we do! You'll find warm New England charm in our get-away home as well as the community itself. The Kitchen is full size and fully equipped, open to the eating area and living room with Brick hearth gas fireplace. There are 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor, 1 queen and one with a Vermont Tub bunk bed and sofa. Upstairs is the Master Bedroom with a King size bed and a comfy leather recliner with a big bank of windows. Full bath and 1/2 bath with laundry. Parking is ample and the house is bright with daylight. We are located in a quiet setting surrounded by Town wooded land and one neighbor and they are great! The accommodations are best suited for a couple, family of 4 or 2 couples. Hardwood floors, brand new appliances, kitchen stocked with spices, linens, towels, hairdryer, Wi-Fi, cable TV. Enjoy the fireplace, with forced HW base board heat being the main heat source. A covered farmers porch adds to the character and a super place to take in the quiet on a summer's day with the Gale River right there. Alternatively visit our "'Mittersill Retreat" house listed on AirBNB too!

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire home and ample parking too. The house is located directly on the Gale River with a private path that leads to the water’s edge, a great place to sit on a hot summer’s day. The Gale River trail, part of the town Fox Hill Trail system, is just across the drive and is as beautiful as it sounds while winding along the river with miles of beautiful walking, hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. Enjoy strolling to Franconia Village just a few blocks away where you’ll find our new Iron Furnace Brewery, Hungry Bear Cafe, Mac's Market, hardware store and bike shop.
During the summer months we'll supply at the house beach chairs, umbrella, canoe, beach towels, bikes and fire wood for our guests to enjoy. Franconia Inn bike shop Sports is just a couple miles away for bike rentals. The area is quiet yet close to family attractions and tons of outdoor recreation, perfect for a memorable vacation in the midst of Franconia Notch and the White Mountains. We hope you’ll enjoy getting to know our area and the quality of life that surrounds us!

During your stay
We live and work in town, just 5 minutes from our House on The Gale River so we are available to answer questions or help in any way. Should you like, Beth or Steve will meet guests to check them in and tell them all they need to know about the house and all the area has to offer. For an additional fee we are happy to have any special supplies you might request upon your arrival. We each landed in the area over 28 years ago through our professions, fell in love with each other - and the area, we thought what a great quality of life and place to raise children! Now young adults, both of our boys enjoy returning to spend time in the outdoors. Both of us are Licensed NH/VT Real estate Brokers.
