Although we were later than we'd indicated, Susan came outside with a parking pass and began the explanation of the exterior: locks, keys, trash, etc. Then a through tour through the house, the location of the wi-fi, important kitchen points and where we could find extra towels and ironing board.
This charming second floor apartment across an open courtyard is spacious, well furnished and entirely comfortable. The neighborhood is an historic district of lovely townhouses, quiet and convenient. A good restaurant is across the street. Food shopping is further away, but cooking would be easy in the fully stocked kitchen. Susan was a welcoming and pleasant host. The many toys will delight kids and their parents.
This was a perfect experience for our family in every way. The space is actually larger than the pictures depict, and every need has been anticipated. The parking was easy and always available, and the hosts were flexible and helpful. This is a great value in a quiet neighborhood.
A lovely stay in every way. Our trip to Baltimore happened to be during the coldest week of the year; being able to come home to this charming apartment made all the difference.
Susan & Peter thought of everything - from extra linens to fully functional kitchen, we were comfortable and felt quite at home. They left clear, complete instructions, helpful lists of restaurants & neighborhood info, etc.
Much nicer and less expensive than taking two hotel rooms. Will definitely stay with them again!
We were completely thrilled with Susan & Peter's 2 bed room carriage house. It was very clean and presented exactly as advertised. Peter met us as we arrived and gave us the low down. Very smooth process. The kitchen was fully functional and the wi-fi worked great.
The Bolton Hill neighbor hood was fantastic. We have a child and wanted a calmer atmosphere than Fell's Point or Hampden. There were a couple great places to eat with in walking distance and it is only a short drive (10 minutes) to the Harbor.
The kids toys, books & movies set this place apart from anywhere else we've stayed with our son. His eyes lit up when we first walked in and he happily played every waking moment we were there. A very cool touch.
We hope to revisit Baltimore and will happily stay here again.
Our time with Van Buren's was short but great. Clean, pretty house in a good location that's easy to find and has plenty of parking close by. The Van Buren's were gracious and friendly hosts and made us feel great. They had recommendations for us to check out what was new in Baltimore. Our stay was better than some 4 and 5 star hotels we have stayed in. We had a great stay and would recommend the Van Buren's to anyone.
