The space
This historic home was built in 1875 by Butte County Superior Court Judge, John Carleton Gray. Just recently restored, this large home with four suites offers a grand and comfortable stay with antique furnishings and decor reminiscent of the original home.
There is a deep pond in the backyard with Koi fish. We are still working on this area but you are welcome to enjoy this space as well.
A five minute walk gets you downtown to enjoy a wine bar, restaurants, coffee shops and unique retail. OR walk two blocks to the Feather River and enjoy our amazing waterfront known for fishing, disc golf, summer concerts and picnics. IF you are up to it, you can walk all the way to the Oroville dam. (5 miles one way.)
There is no TV, but there is very strong WIFI.

Guest access
To enter the house there are four steps at the front entry. There are two suites on the first floor. Ascend the original steep stairwell to the second floor with two more suites. Reserved suites will be open for your stay along with the kitchen, dining room, parlor and office.

This space is not shared. One guest or eight will have the entire home to themselves.

1 to 2 guests per suite. Unbooked suites will be locked.

You can add additional guests for $60/night per person.

Other things to note
We are still working in the backyard. You might see us in the backyard and garage until about 4:00. You are welcome to use the table in the backyard, however, please know this area is currently being renovated.

This space doesn’t accommodate children, or teenagers. It is not child safe due to steep stairs and antique furnishings.
