The space

Familiar residential area in Playa de la Mora (blue flag awarded by the European Union), located between two protected natural areas: Tamarit forest and 'la Marquesa' forest. Marquesa Forest is the last truly natural and unspoiled area of Tarragona coastline and one of the few of its characteristics in the Catalan coast. The setting is ideal for short trips on foot or by bike, walking the woods or visiting its spectacular cliffs and coves, some of them naturists.

The area has a supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, cash dispenser, restaurants, football pitch, basketball court, table tennis and children's playground. There are no discos or nightclubs nearby that could disturb the peace and quiet of the visitor.

The sunny and mild weather of Tarragona will allow you to enjoy the apartment almost all the year.

Beautiful apartment with partial view of sea. New appliances. The apartment complex has nice grounds and very nice pool. Beach is 50 yards away. Felt like a 4 star resort in some ways. The fold out double bed is extremely uncomfortable and it squeaked loudly with every move. The plastic mattress cover made it worse. Did not sleep well. But everything else was fine. A nearby market and cafe bakery provided food. Four restaurants on beach. This is a recommended beach destination in a small town. It is called La Mora, and it is not in Tarragona. Almost like a suburb.

We (2 adults & 2 kids) spent a wonderful extended week at Eugeni´s beachside apartment at Playa de la Mora. We highly recommend this place! The apartment is exactly as in the description - very clean, modern, nicely decorated and well-organised. It has everything a family needs for everyday life during a summer holiday, including `beach equipment´ such as a parasol, body boards and other useful and fun beach-related stuff which guests are allowed to use (thanks, Eugeni! :-)) The only thing that you may have to adjust to if you are a very tall person or used to a very comfortable bed is the pull-out couch in the main room/living room, but this point has already been mentioned in other reviews so no need to further comment on that point. For me, the couch was OK and I had no problems whatsoever to sleep. The balcony of the apartment has a direct view on the community garden and pool and the beautiful, unspoilt beach of Playa de la Mora! This and the ultimate proximity to the beach (2 min walking distance) were an absolute plus for me, since I love to hear the waves at night, or even go for a very late or very early swim. Playa de la Mora is a lovely beach, with a sea that is somedays wavy, other days quite but always with clear water, fine golden sand, cliffs where you can go snorkeling and lovely woods for walks. There were no jellyfishes during our stay, another plus. As to be expected in August, the beach was quite full but mostly with visitors and vacationers coming from Catalonia & the Spanish mainland, plus some French people and maybe one or two families from the Netherlands here and there, but that was about it and all of them behaved respectfully regarding the beach and their neighbours - so a totally different picture from the Costa Brava or the Balearic Islands which are `invaded´ by load Germans and Brits;-) The same goes for the neighbouring, unspoilt beaches Altafulla, Tamarit (natural beach at the foot of beautiful old castle) and the nearby natural (and nudist) beaches of Playa Rocca Plana and Cala Waikkiki which you can reach by foot in about 30 minutes, walking south, through the Camping Torre de la Mora and the pittoresque, enchanted Bosc de la Marquesa! I loved this walk:-) As to eating and shopping facilities: There are a couple of Restaurants along Playa de la Mora beach as well as a beach bar where you can have decent food for lunch or dinner. At the center of the village you will find a bakery, a pharmacy, a bank and two small tourist markets where you can buy the most necessary stuff (but no food). For larger food shoppings, it is recommended to drive to one of the bigger supermercados nearby (about 5 km away). There´s also a small well-equippend and affordable supermarket-shop at Caming de la Mora at the southern end of...

This is a great place to stay. A simple yet cosy apartment, directly on the sea side. La Morá is a small coastal village, a little paradise in Costa Daurada (golden coast of Catalunya). Will come again!

We had a lovely stay in Eugeni's great flat. It has everything you need and is great for traveling with children. It is perfectly located with a great view. Eugeni is a very helpful host and had great suggestions for what to do.

Eugeni is a very pleasant host. Altough we arrived very late in the evening he took time to inform us about the town its beaches and walks, nearby cities, nice restaurants, etc. This time of year La Mora is a very calm place with all the necessairy facilities, including a small market on saturdays, in reach on a nice beach. The appartment is very well maintained and nicely decorated and perfect for two adults and two children ( 9 and 7 years) if you are ok sleeping on the sofa bed. There are beachtoys and umbrella which you can use. Interesting Roman remains to visit in the area (Taragonna area) while Reus is very good for stopping and enough nice beaches around.

This is the 3rd year in a row we have been to La Mora to stay with Eugine and he always makes us feel so welcome. It is a perfect place to take kids to enjoy a break with the beech meters away and access to a lovely swimming pool. La Mora is quiet, clean and beautiful. The apartment is very nice and exactly as described, with the addition of a new coffee machine this year plus plenty of coffee. Lots of kids toys, beech toys and a parasol to shade our 5 month old on his first holiday abroad. Can't wait to go back next year.

- Great spot if you want to be calm: beach, walks, swimming pool. We were there with our child (4y old) and enjoyed some walks in the forrest to reach the small beaches (calas) that are pretty close (20-30'): Roca Plana, Waikiki, Altafulla... - The apartment is part of a very familly-oriented place. Having breakfast & dinner looking to the sea was really pleasant. - Description was accurate and Eugeni very helpfull troughout our stay!

Hi! We are Ana and Eugeni. We enjoy taking some time off by the seaside. However, we really hate crowded, noisy or artificial beaches. This is why when we knew about 'Playa de la Mora', we immediately felt in love and later on, when we could afford it, we bought this nice apartme…
