Resort Overview

Name the types of outdoor recreation you enjoy. Pick anything. Mountain biking? Fishing? Birding? What about just picnicking along country roads? You can do all this and much more from your resort at Running Y.

Perched on a ridge near the 143-square-mile Upper Klamath Lake, your resort is well-positioned to take advantage of one of the most diverse and pristine wildernesses in North America (there are seven national wildlife refuges here). The region’s volcanic legacy has left the famous caldera of Crater Lake, lava beds, fumaroles and towering peaks. It also happens to be the route birds prefer for their western migrations. In fact, bald eagles by the hundreds winter in the Klamath Basin.

Such a backdrop invites exploration. So choose your transport—foot, tire, or wing, and set forth. After several "Oh wow’s" and a few "Look at that’s," you’ll be ready to return to your Running Y accommodations and all the comforts of home.

  • This condo was perfect for a girls getaway. We slept 6 comfortably for 2 nights. Any longer and it would start to feel too crowded, but it was perfect for a weekend. It was just a short 10 minute walk to the Creekside Gondola, which was great. There was a shared hot tub and there were even pool towels in addition to shower towels for us. Our unit had a small porch with a grill, which was fabulous! The view was beautiful! All we could see was mountains and trees. And the fireplace was a nice touch. Overall I would recommend this place!

  • Chelsea and I stayed in this very conveniently located resort. The condo was clean and spacious for the two of us. Make sure to take advantage of the grill, it's a must. Also, there are great amenities on the property, we used the mart and spa. It was an ideal location for Coachella, we Uber'd back and forth each night for only $20-30 each way!

  • The condo was perfect for our Coachella weekend! Super close and relaxing. Having the luxury of the pool and spa was nice too. Thanks again Katy!

  • I have learned that I must read more carefully. I had "BnB" in mind but this place is not an apartment but rather a resort, thus no "nB". It includes a kitchen to make your own, if you like, and we did, enjoying it on the sunny deck. I found it odd that in a town like this that there was no cheese slicer (plane) in the kitchen. There was also an extra charge for the internet which I wasn't expecting although I did note afterwards that these facts are in the posting for the site. As I said, I must read more carefully.

We were looking for a 2 bedroom suite with common area and this place met that requirement just fine. It is close to the shopping area which was also needed. The elevator was handy for my Dad. The staff were helpful and courteous. The hot tub was good and the neighbours were friendly. The suite was clean, the water plentiful and the huge bed very comfortable.

  • It was clean and friendly. The location was fantastic and the shuttle to the mountain for skiing was super convenient, we did not wait more than 5 minutes to get one. Location is close to grocery and the kitchen was outfitted with everything we needed to cook our own meals. We had a problem with the TV and they came immediately and fixed it. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Katy!

  • It was a really great place to stay with family on holidays. Very clean and beautiful inferior and kind peopel. Very close to downtown and fishermen's wharf. Actually it's hard to find a place like this. This place made my family satisfied. If you have a small kid, don't forget to bring swimsuit. I hope you are the next person who enjoys here.
