  • Lauriston Cottage (email hidden) to stay and a real home from home. It was light and spacious and the photos really don't do it justice. It was lovely to have a private garden to sit out in and the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped. I throughly recommend a stay here - thank you Karen and Susannah.

  • We had a great stay at Karen's place and would recommend this place to everyone. It was clean and spacious! 2 thumbs up for having a washer/dryer as well as a kitchen with cookware. We were able to walk to downtown to buy fresh seafood or head down to the local countdown market for groceries (15 minute walk). Wifi worked fine and it was a very safe and quiet neighborhood.

  • We had a brilliant time in this 1920's bungalow, beautiful backyard, neighbourhood, and well equiped everything. The heating pad on top of the mattress was special in the morning, when it was cool. I would highly recommend this place! Karen does tours, and is very knowledgeable on New Zealand. Enjoy!

  • We had a lovely stay in Tauranga and would be very happy to return to this great cottage. Karen and Susanna were very nice and helpful, easy to communicate with for the arrangements, and have put together such a nice and comfortable place. Very clean, great amount of space, with all you need for a stay of a few nights. And the complimentary bike rental was a wonderful way to check out the Mount.

The location is great as well as about 15-20 minutes only to downtown. Check out Abrakebabra and Brewpub for turkish and then a pint :)

Freewheeling Tours - cycle tour company Tauranga
Hi I am Australian and have been living in New Zealand for 3 years. I think New Zealand is a stunningly beautiful country and offers a relaxed and easy lifestyle. I trained as a school teacher (many many moons ago) and I ran an outdoor adventure education business in Australia for 25 years. I moved here for a change of pace. I now run a cycle tour company with my partner and we take tourists on cycle tours around our beautiful area and other exciting places in New Zealand. We love it! Cycling is the pollution solution! Check us out on (website hidden) I have 2 grown up children - my son is a Doctor and lives in Australia and my daughter is studying Acting and living in London. We are a global family. We love travelling and exploring new places and meeting new people from all around the world. Hoping to meet you here in beautiful Tauranga soon!
