This home is very unique. It's in a Spanish courtyard. The house that it shares the property with is very old. This home was actually recently built so everything is only a few years old.
There is an aviary of lovebirds and budgies outside (attached to the main house). They're not very loud but you can hear them if you're sitting on the patio.
There are 2 little dogs on the property. They will not be loose in the yard but you may hear them at some point. They're very sweet and they don't bark a lot but just a heads up. They do not live in the house that is available. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate additional pets.

Thank you for your interest in our home.
We've stayed here every time we come to visit our daughter at CalPoly. It's absolutely amazing! The courtyard is like a little oasis. But the location is so ideal that you get the best of all worlds: very close access to downtown (higuera st), cute and safe residential area for evening walks, and the feeling that you're away from it all when you're tucked in the courtyard. And Carrie is great! Very responsive and takes great care of the place.
We loved staying in Carrie's sweet little studio! Highly recommend to anyone visiting SLO.
Carries studio was lovely. Very comfy bed, small but fully functional kitchen, stocked with some treats like orange juice and some quality coffe and teas. We loved spending the warm summer evening on the patio. The whole place oozes friendliness and charm. We felt very welcome.
Great studio and great location! We arrived on the Amtrak train and walked to the studio in about 15/20 minutes. The studio was very clean and there were even some delicious welcome cookies! There are a lot of great restaurants a short walk away, with great local wine. Thursday evening Farmers' Market was really fun!
What an incredible stay! Carrie's studio was warm, charming and inviting. We were welcomed with freshly baked cookies, gift soap & tea, lovely decor and a comfortable bed. It felt like an exotic retreat and a home away from home. Had not scheduled meetings pulled us away, we would have happily spent more time relaxing in this idyllic hideaway.
Just outside the door of the studio is a private courtyard with a covered sitting area complete with bubbling fountain, aviary (birds are quiet at night), comfortable porch swing, and outdoor sofa--very serene and relaxing.
We will definitely stay here again...but next time for vacation!
As always we had a great time and the accommodations were great. We only stay with Carrie when going to SLO! Highly recommended.
My husband and I spent 4 nights and loved everything about Carrie's studio. It has a great outside area to sit in, comfortable bed, and great location. We did a lot of walking and bike riding in the area. Carrie had left a binder with great local information. We will return!

About the Host, Carrie
I grew up in San Luis Obispo, California. I love the Central Coast and everything it has to offer. I love the fresh produce from the Farmer's Markets, locally produced products, farm-to-table restaurants, and the little boutiques that make SLO so unique.
I love the outdoors and exploring the coast with my little dog Callie.
