This home is very unique. It's in a Spanish courtyard. The house that it shares the property with is very old. This home was actually recently built so everything is only a few years old.
There is an aviary of lovebirds and budgies outside (attached to the main house). They're not very loud but you can hear them if you're sitting on the patio.
There are 2 little dogs on the property. They will not be loose in the yard but you may hear them at some point. They're very sweet and they don't bark a lot but just a heads up. They do not live in the house that is available. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate additional pets.

Our neighborhood is one of the many older neighborhoods in the city. It's really close to downtown, which is very convenient. There's a park only a block away with an outdoor fitness center, basketball court, playground, and community garden.
It's also conveniently located near the 101 North & South freeway on ramps, which is nice for getting around quickly.
It is also very close to the trail head of Cerro San Luis (commonly known as Madonna Mountain).
Street parking is free and always available.
There is a bus stop a block away from the home. The main bus transit center is about a 15-20 minute walk downtown.

Thank you for your interest in our home.
Made us feel very welcome with cookies and a handy manual that helped us accommodate to the apartment and the surrounding area. The neighborhood was perfect and exactly what was described. Only a 10 minute walk to the heart of downtown SLO. Definitely would stay here again at this price and great location.
That place is not big but the patio helps a lot and it's very relaxing.
It is an excellent base for a first stay and discovery of this superb central coast. San Luis Obispo was also a very nice surprise. Laurent.
Truly lovely guest house with beautiful decor. Carrie went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The neighborhood was walking distance to many great restaurants but far enough away so we didn't hear the night life! Everything was clearly labeled in the home and every comfort was thought of in advance (Apple TV, extra towels and blankets, book of instructions, etc). We will definitely be staying here again!
This studio is exactly as Carrie describes it. It's off a Spanish courtyard with 2 fountains, caged birds, and a lovely 2 person swing. The birds are near the entrance and greet you when you go by, otherwise we didn't notice them. The studio is so well appointed. Great small kitchen with tile countertop, large fridge, super comfortable bed, very nice bathroom, comfortable sitting area, gas fireplace, fast internet. We would have spent more time there except that it's super close to all the downtown SLO happenings! We plan on returning for a longer stay.
Carrie's little studio was so cool. It has it's own gated entrance and is located inside a private courtyard with a nice outdoor area. In addition to the big binder of useful information (how to use the TV, recommendations for places to eat at in town), she left us a plate of cookies for our arrival. We went to two of the recommended restaurants and were blown away by the food—it's great to have a local letting you in on the best places to go. The studio is just a short walk to the downtown area. Overall a lovely stay.
Carrie was an amazing host and the studio was great. It was extremely clean, homey, and in an excellent location. I was pleasantly surprised that it's a lot bigger than it appeared in the pictures! The Spanish style courtyard is beautiful and the aviary was fun to hear/see. Carrie thought of everything to make our stay perfect - she even included cookies (delicious) and some snacks/drinks in the fridge. This will be my go-to spot when I visit SLO!
A really lovely place, we had a great time here in beautiful SLO. Communication with Carrie was really easy and smooth.

About the Host, Carrie
I grew up in San Luis Obispo, California. I love the Central Coast and everything it has to offer. I love the fresh produce from the Farmer's Markets, locally produced products, farm-to-table restaurants, and the little boutiques that make SLO so unique.
I love the outdoors and exploring the coast with my little dog Callie.
