Our bed and breakfast is ideally situated in a quiet residential area in the centre of Hexham, 10 mins walk from the train station, only 3 mins from the abbey and market place in the historic town centre. The bed and breakfast is elegantly decorated and furnished with antiques in keeping with its Victorian architecture. The beds, not antique - are all brand new, with medium firm, natural latex and foam mattresses, which can be arranged as twin or super king size. Snuggle into luxurious duck down duvets with Egyptian cotton linen (if allergies do not permit, non-allergic duvets are available). Most guest are here to explore the local area, or visit friends for an occasion, however please do ask to have the on demand tv put in your room on arrival if you wish. Breakfast includes homemade conserves, muesli and pancakes; artisan bread and meat from local shops down the road. Breakfast is served in the breakfast room, where you can help your self to tea and coffee anytime, you can sit by the fire and peruse the coffee table books.

Its 3 minuets walk to the bus station, 10 to the train station.
You have a key to come and go as you wish. Be extra quiet if entering the house after 10.30pm. We have a lot of walkers stay and they need lots of good quality sleep! We can arrange what you want for breakfast and what time you want it the night of your arrival. Please let me know what time you aim to arrive.

About the Host, Julie And Mick
Your comfort is our goal. After spending many years travelling and being hostel guests, we are keen to be welcoming guest into our home. Having stayed in a huge variety of accommodation we hope we have created the perfect balance for the price and a very comfortable homely rest. Walkers and cyclists ourselves, we can advise and guide on numerous walks in the area a short car journey away or straight from the door. Mick is a competitive hill climbing cyclist who can offer advise on every hill and its gradient in the area. He can alternatively advise on how to avoid these hills if a more gentle ride is what is wanted! Julie is from a Hexham family who own a five generation family clock business in the historic market place.
